Texas Tech quarterback Brenden Sorsby, who transferred there from Cincinnati this off season, he entered a residential treatment program for a gambling addiction, which the school just announced actually just earlier today.

Uh, they found out that Brenden Sorsby making thousands of online bets on a variety of sports via a gambling app.

And also, their NCAA's currently investigating Brenden Sorsby's gambling because, of course, they do not allow athletes to bet on either college sports or even pro sports, uh, either right now.

And according to Pete Thamel, Sorsby was betting on Indiana football while he was redshirting there as a true freshman in 2022.

Apparently, he did not bet on that game that he did appear in for, uh, for Indiana.

But he b- did bet on Indiana to win the game, uh, which, too, which is very, very forbidden, uh, in this.

And Dalton, obviously if you go by the NCAA guidelines, they say, uh, "Student athletes who wager on their own games or on other sports at their own schools face permanent loss of college eligibility in all sports." So it is not looking very pretty for Brenden Sorsby right now, and hope he gets all the treatment he needs, of course, for his gambling addiction.

But there is a, there's a really good chance that Brenden Sorsby's not playing at all this year for Texas Tech, which is a major loss not only for him, but for the Red Raiders, 'cause I thought Brenden Sorsby's like a top 10 quarterback in the country, and, you know, their national title hopes now take a, maybe a death blow, uh, by this news.
