And the Republic is holding, which means, and I want Texas to hear this specifically, Texas can still say no. Nobody's forcing a dispensary onto a county that doesn't want one.

If Lubbock wants to be dry, Lubbock is dry.

That's the model.

That's how it already works for the most dangerous drugs.

There she sits, friendless upon her throne through the long night of her life, cut off from the consoling sympathies and sweet companionship and loving endearments which she craves by the gilded barriers of her awful rank, a forlorn exile in her own house and home, weary object of formal ceremonies and machine-made worship, winged child of the sun, native to the free air and the blue skies and the flowery fields, doomed by the splendid accident of her birth to trade this priceless heritage for a black captivity, a tinsel grandeur, and a loveless life, with shame and insult at the end and a cruel death, and condemned by the human instinct in her to hold the bargain valuable.

Huber, Lubbock, Maeterlinck, in fact all the great authorities, are agreed in denying that the bee is a member of the human family.

I do not know why they have done this, but I think it is from dishonest motives.

Why the innumerable facts brought to light by their own painstaking and exhaustive experiments prove that if there is a master fool in the world, it is the bee.

Yeah.

But yeah, I got there and went to Texas Tech, Reckham in Lubbock, Texas, and got a civil engineering bachelor's as well as a master's.

Went to work in Florida for Hurricane Test Lab, now part of like the Intertech network of labs.

And then Greg Carney graduated.

It seems shocked the world.

I feel like everybody in the country, except if you live in the city of Lubbock, is going to be rooting for the Oregon State Beavers.

And he was making the comparison to, of course, you remember the red light cameras people were so angry about all over the state.

Did y'all have those in Lubbock?

Briefly.

Yeah.

Yeah, he certainly needs if the room was filled only with activists, that's OK, in that he wants those activists to get fired up.

And so if you're in Lubbock or Amarillo and you're in a safe Republican area, he wants you to be panicked and getting out there and getting your neighbors to vote and that kind of stuff and getting them organized.

Don't take this off just because a lot of people are like, it's only Paxton.

It's like, don't do that.
