This week on The Orange Box Podcast, we talk about the unofficial Bloodborne PC port that is now available, the PS5 games being playable natively on PC, the leaked Steam Deck 2 specs seeming likely to…
But anyway, I know I have a lot of games to talk about this week, but what have you been playing?
Alright, so I'll just get this first tidbit out of the way.
But yeah, so still just a good game, good fun game.
But then, as far as the other games I played, I can't remember if I saw this one either... on the front page of Steam, or if I saw it just advertised as part of some indie game channel.
But I saw, I played a demo for a game called Rig Riot, which is essentially an action mech game, uh, somewhat in the vein of the older armored core games.
Uh, and also, I guess more recently Damon X Machina.
Um, so I, so I saw it and I said, you know what? It's got a demo.
I will give it a shot.
And unfortunately this was incredibly underwhelming.
Ish.
Um, it, It was around 60.
There were a couple slight dips here and there, but for the most part, it maintained 60.
Didn't have any issues on there.
But when I played it to record footage for the episode, when I played it on my desktop, that's when I started having several different problems.
So the first time...
And granted, this...
This probably could have happened on the Steam Deck as well, but I just thought it was funny that it happened when I was actually trying to just record it on my desktop.
So the first time, when I was trying to face one of the enemies or fight one of the enemies in a mob, in a group, I was trying to figure out where the enemy was coming from because I kept getting shot at, but I couldn't see where the enemy was.
And it took me a while before I figured out the enemy had somehow spawned inside a building.
So I'm supposed to wipe out every single enemy for this sub mission, or technically it's part of the overall main mission, but just to accomplish this objective, I had to wipe out every enemy.
And so I'm trying to figure out, okay, how am I supposed to actually defeat this enemy if I can't actually hit him? So I tried shooting, tried manually aiming, that didn't work.
And you'll probably see it in this footage here where I was trying to figure out what I was doing.
