It was an unbelievably exciting project for me to become a part of and I couldn't wait.
I think, look, it would be remiss of us to sit here and speak about your new position and all the wonderful facilities and stuff.
But we have to mention the creation of this through Sport Ireland, through the Irish government, through the League of Ireland, all coming together with these funds to fund two full-time positions in every club in the country.
It's an absolutely brilliant proposal because we have to look at the impacts of Brexit.
So it's important that us as League of Ireland clubs create the Irish players of the future.
And I suppose it's the beginning of, hopefully, the beginning of a football industry in Ireland.
And the fact that the government, the fact that Sport Ireland are getting behind it, not only putting their weight behind it in terms of their voice, but also monetarily putting their weight behind it, it's a very, very significant step for all of us.
And, you know, we've had, we have unbelievable support now as Academy directors from the FAA.
I mean, Will Clarke was down visiting me yesterday and seeing how the first few weeks had gone, you know, and checking in.
So, as I say, it's massive to have that support and it can only benefit, it can only benefit the players.
