How to use AI to get ahead, from someone who actually does it every day. Matt Medved sits down with Zeneca to break down how he uses these tools and how anyone else can too. Zeneca introduces Yoshi…
Matt MedvedHost
When did you start using the tools? When did you realize that this was going to have such a transformative impact on not just our industries, but also your own life?
Yeah, so I remember when Chat Chippity first dropped, so it's like late 2022, I wrote a big deep dive article in my newsletter on it.
And I was like, you know, very much in the thick of the crypto And I realized that this is going to change absolutely everything in the world.
And, you know, if I was, I had too many things going on in crypto at the time to like really fully just pivot and go all in on AI at the time.
But I sort of, I knew that this was going to change like how I did everything, how everyone did everything.
And since then I've sort of been paying more and more attention also over the last few years.
and trying to use it more in my day-to-day, whether it's helping me with content creation, with research, with ideation, with running businesses.
But it was probably, I would say, end of last year or just even like January of this year when I really just sort of, I guess, when sort of all of the tooling got better at coding and it really became, it feels like an order of magnitude, really forward by an order of magnitude.
And that's when I've just gone absolutely all in on last maybe six months.

Sort of like the end of December last year, that shift, I think, with the coding tools and the rise of vibe coding.

I remember I went from having never really opened Terminal unless there was something wrong with my computer to in February, I was spending more time in Terminal than in Google Chrome.

And I remember that that excitement and also that kind of like that feeling of of of having almost like superhuman powers at your fingertips, but also the question of where to point that at.

You know, like there's almost almost overwhelming, overwhelming in a sense of being overwhelmed by opportunity.

So how did you kind of navigate those months and, you know, your existing projects and also.
i think i probably went through what is uh i think a natural arc that a lot of people go through when they sort of maybe fall down that rabbit hole a little bit and see sort of how powerful ai is and what is possible with it and how the kind of things you can do with sort of being able to buy code now or use cloud code or any of these tools which is holy crap i can do anything and so it was like well i'm going to do everything then and so all these thoughts and dreams you ever had i'm going to build a personal finance app i'm going to build an app to track you know an app to help with my content.
I'm going to build an app to every possible idea you have.
It's like, well, I'll just go in and ask Claude to do it.
Build me a great app, make no mistakes, and you're off to the races.
