I'm not sure if it's ready yet.
OmarGUEST
30:46
And for the Monero support as well, not yet, unfortunately, because that would require the Vaulticig or Core app to support it as well.
OmarGUEST
30:54
But I believe bonding is supported.
OmarGUEST
30:57
If not, it's going to be supported very soon.
DennyHOST
33:35
Kenton, did you have something else you wanted to ask?
KentonHOST
33:39
No, just maybe follow up on that.
KentonHOST
33:40
You can't, with Monero going live on TorChain for swapping, you're not able to kind of copy and paste files.
KentonHOST
33:48
the Monero code on Thor chain to apply to BaltiSig, right? Because BaltiSig uses the same TSS MPC technology that Thor chain uses.
Maurizio Pedrazzoli GrazioliHOST
3:18
Really interesting.
Maurizio Pedrazzoli GrazioliHOST
3:19
And it was at Monero first.
Lea ThompsonGUEST
3:21
Yeah, so it started originally as a Monero wallet and still very, very privacy focused.
Lea ThompsonGUEST
3:25
And so it's interesting because when people ask me like, oh, what's different about Cake Wallet versus any other wallet out there, like really the privacy piece is actually a big one that resonates with people because it's still like there's actually Anytime there's any kind of independent audit done where someone's really looking at like, OK, here's the security claims of a company, but are they actually harvesting IP address information? Are they actually sending any information to like a third party database or server? A lot of wallets will get like maybe 30 to 60 out of 100 and cake wallets like 100 out of 100 every time.
Lea ThompsonGUEST
3:58
And so it's really like that privacy and user data and like all that is something that the team takes really seriously.

and i'm jay noon and i'm into investing in our posterity my website is jaynoon.com if you want to check out what i've been up to i've had it recently updated i had a guide do a bunch of good work to it and there's videos on there and there's pictures and stuff about what i'm what I've been doing, what I'm looking to do, and there's even a support page where you can donate to me in Bitcoin, Monero, Dash, or Bitcoin Cash.
Jay NoonHOST

My real agenda is to...
Jay NoonHOST
2:04
Make sure that Generation Next is useful, valuable, and competent because useful, valuable, competent people generally don't vote for more government.
Vlad CosteaHOST
145:33
Yeah.
Vlad CosteaHOST
145:34
And some guys will say in the comments, well, you should go to Monero.
Vlad CosteaHOST
145:38
I don't find it that exciting for various reasons.
Vlad CosteaHOST
145:41
The biggest of them all is that there's no real plan for scaling.

Oh, really? It was more evident in the second one.
Bob SummerwillGUEST
208:37
Yeah, yeah.
Bob SummerwillGUEST
208:39
But, you know, and we have people from Monero, Dark Fi.
Bob SummerwillGUEST
208:45
Doge point doves.

Hello and welcome back to Freedom Tech Friday, a live and interactive show taking place every Friday at 9am Eastern and 2pm UK time across the Ungovernable Network.
QHOST
0:15
Each week we dig into the latest in Freedom Tech, including Bitcoin, Monero, encrypted messengers, privacy tools and everything in between.
QHOST
0:23
Essentially, if there's a news item, tool or topic that can help you take back some control in today's digital panopticon, then we want to talk about it.
QHOST
0:31
This show and the topics we cover are powered by Freedom.Tech, a daily news desk that uses AI to monitor hundreds of sources so we can continue to bring you the signal every single week.
QHOST
1:14
First, well, both of these guys sent in $10, both in XMR.
QHOST
1:20
First one is Ape Mithrandir.
QHOST
1:21
He said, thanks for making Monero Boosters first class citizens on every show.
QHOST
1:25
Can I get an option to enter XMR amount in the value for value page? Well, Ape, yes, you can.
Nick CarterHOST
14:53
Yeah.
Nick CarterHOST
14:55
Liquid uses this particular programming language called Elements, which has this thing called Confidential Transactions, which is actually the same thing Monero uses.
Nick CarterHOST
15:06
For privacy, we'll come back to that later.
Nick CarterHOST
15:09
Confidential transactions being you can have a blockchain with a transaction on it where nobody knows, except for the sender and the receiver, how much money has been exchanged.
Nick CarterHOST
15:19
It's great for privacy, but also with privacy comes these auditability issues like we've seen with Zcash bug, the Monero bug.
Nick CarterHOST
15:26
This is another example of that.
Nick CarterHOST
15:29
For a confidential transaction to be valid, you have to include range proofs.
Nick CarterHOST
18:07
it's tough i mean they the loss as of right now stands at it's like 47 million dollars right 40 50 million dollars 600 bitcoin it's a lot of money some people speculated that the liquid supply was blackstream's own balance sheet and they were kind of bootstrapping it oh it's unclear so it might be just balance sheet loss to them but there's a lot of interesting implications First of all, I think it worsens the security profile of confidential transactions.
ChadGUEST
99:47
It goes a long fucking way, right? And so it's a really good allocation of efficiency of allocation of resources to put it into the Tron pool, for example.
ChadGUEST
100:00
And that's going to be true when we launch Monero, and that's going to be true when we launch Zcash, and that's true for Solana and these other kind of more shallower pools we have right now that are you know, haven't been around that long, you know, but a little bit of capital into those pools just has a significant effect on the efficiency of those pools.
DennyHOST
100:18
Yeah, absolutely.
DennyHOST
100:20
And I misspoke, guys.

9 MINS LATER

ChadGUEST
109:35
And then it's just going to absorb the POL for probably like, Maybe months.
ChadGUEST
109:41
You know what I mean? Just as continuously for just building its depth from 100 grand to 200 grand to 400 grand to, you know, whatever.
ChadGUEST
109:48
Just going to keep going because it's just I just I just have a lot of positivity towards the effectiveness of Monero and how much volume it's going to garner for us.
ChadGUEST
109:59
Like we were talking before that like it's possible that we become the liquidity center of the token, right? For the first time in history, a DEX is actually the liquidity center of a token.
Paul McCartyGUEST
50:53
And I started looking into it.
Paul McCartyGUEST
50:54
And it turns out there's this whole ecosystem of payment providers that will let you take your existing crypto, Monero and all the other ones, right? And pay for things for companies that don't accept crypto.
Paul McCartyGUEST
51:06
And a good example is this company called Moon.
Paul McCartyGUEST
51:09
Moon Payments.
Francis HuntGUEST
47:55
And technically it was unwise, even though I'm sure it has merit.
Francis HuntGUEST
47:58
I'm sure Monero might be far superior, but it's not competing to the same degree right now.
Francis HuntGUEST
48:05
But it has got macro setups and it might be worth showing those.
Francis HuntGUEST
48:09
This is a daily chart I've got up.

7 MINS LATER

Francis HuntGUEST
55:01
Not to the people that I want privacy from.
Francis HuntGUEST
55:05
It might give me privacy from you, Rupert, seeing how much I made in net cash.
Francis HuntGUEST
55:09
Monero might too.
Francis HuntGUEST
55:10
But the real people that are at the top of the jungle, anything digital isn't going to be private.
Derrick BrozeGUEST
31:01
Yeah.
Derrick BrozeGUEST
31:01
I mean, this is an area where even I would say in my own audience, it's pretty divided, as you were saying a moment ago, between people who maybe are crypto savvy, maybe Bitcoin maxis or Monero or just wherever they understand it.
Derrick BrozeGUEST
31:13
And others who don't have an understanding, but they have fears.
Derrick BrozeGUEST
31:17
And I don't want to dismiss those fears as completely illegitimate because I've done reports and articles about the dangers of the way blockchain can be used to create a permanent surveillance state and things of that sort.
Derrick BrozeGUEST
31:56
Like, okay, central bank, Fed controlling digital money, that's bad.
Derrick BrozeGUEST
32:00
And then they see that, well, okay, they talk about using the, let's say, Fed coin on blockchain.
Derrick BrozeGUEST
32:06
Well, then also if other blockchains are out there, they must all be bad, right? So if there's a Monero blockchain, that's automatically got to be bad because all blockchains are equal, right? They don't understand the sort of nuances there.
Derrick BrozeGUEST
32:18
And so they sort of are more dismissive of anything.
