All right.
It is the Karel show.
I am Karel, and welcome.
Uh, we are here for This Gay Week, and this week in Ukraine, and, uh, just idle chitchat between Scott and I. It's our only time to catch up because, you know, we do it on air.
Why, why have private conversations when you can let the world see? Uh, and you know, we're doing This Gay Week, and I, I...
Just before we get to it, I have to just say out loud, um, as part of my new thing, uh...
As if you've been watching the show, you know that I had a heart incident.
It, uh, it really scared me.
Uh, and I realized that I have too much negativity and too much stress in my life.
Uh, and I'm trying desperately to look on the brighter side of things, uh, and not let things get me down.
The problem is, right now in the world when it comes to LGBTQ issues, the pendulum has swung to the bad side.
Uh, as you know, everything in life is cyclical.
It goes good.
It goes bad.
It goes somewhere in between.
Here in America, as you know, this last week, Title IX protections expired for LGBTQ people.
Well, they didn't expire.
They were killed by the Trump administration.
It's not like they willfully expired.
They were shot dead.
Uh, also, as you know, this week in the United States we had more gay violence, more trans violence.
Uh, and as you know, it's election season, and the Democrats can't decide if they're for the gay people or against them, insomuch as some are saying they don't want trans people in sports, but they support trans people, which is an oxymoron.
Uh, others are saying, you know, "Oh, gay marriage, oh, I support it," and yet they wouldn't put it up for a congressional vote to make sure that it's never overturned by the Supreme Court.
So we have a lot of conflicting messages out there right now.
