It's a doctrinal system that proposes a major change in lifestyle and social structures.

In fact, as the Jesuit philosopher, Father Victor Catharine, has rightly pointed out, he said, quote, "We call socialism a system of political economy, not as if it did not also lead to many political and social changes, but because the gist of socialism consists in the nationalization of property and in the public administration and distribution of all goods." Close quote.

And in June, just passed, the Democrat Socialists of America, the DSA, released a new platform.

It was called Workers Deserve More, close quote, which in part proposes to, quote, "Draft a new constitution and create a democratic socialist republic," close quote.

Now, I would paraphrase this sentence today from the Communist Manifesto as follows: "A specter, a ghost is haunting America, the specter of socialism." That's the way I would reword it.

Karl Marx, the, the individual, one of the two individuals that wrote "The Communist Manifesto," the Communist Party, or "The Communist Manifesto," Karl Marx is dead.
