You said fasted.

You've...

You know, that leads to spirituality.

Yes.

Right.

You know, which doesn't just give you faith.

It gives you the framework of life, right and wrong.

Right.

For accountability.

So how does that foundation hold up? when you do start to choose the work you do like in diversity equity and inclusion yeah yeah you know it runs you know into institutions values and things like

that how does that hold up there it does it's foundational and i'll be honest with you not a year goes by not a you know sometimes you know a week or a month goes by where i don't not just reflect on but think about you know, how we were being fed as, as youth.

Like I was in the, you know, in the church from young, we were, my, my mom, we, we, we've been a lot of different types of churches, but our main church where we learned a lot in Bible study was Pentecostal actually in the South Bronx called the Bud and Life Tabernacle.

And so we learned a lot there.

We were in church all the time.

I think I'm not the only one like that, but I think to think about the environment I described and you lived it too.

Yes.

That's probably a good place to be for some two young

brothers, you know? It's pretty

safe.

So I think, not think, I know that from a young age, that connection was strong.

I knew it for myself, which is how my mom, you know, kind of shared it with us.

And we learned it was, you know, your parents could take you to church, but you still got to decide, right? And I would have to say, even though I learned a lot from being in that building, it was always something that was within me.
