Hour 2: Cockroach

And all the volatility in college football has us at an interesting point, right? The week seven slate lived up to every bit of the billing across the sport.

Five of the top seven in the AP poll go down.

The Miami Hurricanes, your new number one team, they await that matchup with Notre Dame and South Bend on November 7th.

It seems like it could be another one of those days.

You were just reading off the scheduling for that.

I don't know if anything will top week seven, but November 7th, if there's going to be a rebuttal, would probably be the one.

So November 7th.

And these are all ranked, ranked.

BYU, Utah, Georgia, Ole Miss, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, LSU, Iowa, Northwestern, Texas, Missouri, and Notre Dame, Miami.

I mean, it is.

And that's, by the way, that's four days after the first committee rankings come out.

Oh, wow.

So really, and we'll talk about it obviously then, but it's all about positioning in that first ranking.

But you want to talk about the rankings basically being obliterated four days after the first one comes out.

Yeah, forget just writing those in pencil.

They're in pencil on wet tissue paper.

Yeah.

getting ready to be annihilated by a storm coming through with that round of rankings.

And so it's fun to wonder and what if about a lot of those situations, right? You mentioned Alabama LSU, which because of a couple of Alabama losses and LSU, seems a little bit further down on the board.

But you could argue that's the most important game of the Kalen DeBoer era so far.

Given that three losses probably put you on the outs for the CFP, it's on the road against a big-time – rival it became because of the Nick Saban of it all in school.

But on the road, big-time opponent, still with what's been going on there with Lane Kiffin and company.

So you've got that on there.

Obviously, Notre Dame, in some people's eyes, playing for its season with Miami coming to town.

But that also comes into frame and kind of sets up for another conversation.
