The Office

My mind is total mush.

So we got together last year to talk about Season 1 of this show, which is the spinoff of "The Office," and you and I both really, really enjoyed Season 1.

What did you think about Season 2?

2?I liked it a lot actually.

And that still stays strong in Season 2 for sure.

Like the, the, the presence of journalism as like a concept and like staying true to like what local papers need to be doing and, and whatnot is still there.

But there's so many great gags and, and jokes and stuff that like it, it really did kind of remind me of how "The Office" hit their stride in Season 2, uh, as well.

And I, I had a really good time with it.

Okay.

So you have to be a fra- a fan of the American version of The Office, but TMSPC stands for the Michael Scott Paper Company.

Um, [laughs] and so myself and Alex are big fans, uh, and, and, you know, a lot of our staff too, are big fans of The Office, and I think all the, the memes and the GIFs and stuff that float around in Slack and stuff have to do with Dwight or Jim and all, all that, all the characters and stuff like that.

So it was just the team is the Michael Scott Paper Company.

We just needed a name at the time.

in the rain and all stuff like that.

So it was good fun.

But then I sort of progressed, um, onto the tools quite quickly, uh, off the tools quite quickly into the office, uh, estimating and, uh, um, I worked for a couple of d- different, uh, bigger businesses in Melbourne.

Now, the most sickening thing when the coach sit up there and give praise, and he gonna give this guy a chance, we all know that Todd is not making these decisions.

This is, this is the office.

So but the point I'm trying to make to everybody here is he should have been cut.

Why is the front office make...

Why is the office making the decision and not Todd?

Because they're trying to somehow make up for the, the, the, the debacle by putting all this money in this guy.

And they need to go.

You love The Office, correct? I'm an Office guy.

I mean, if you love The Office, I don't know how you can't love Parks and Rec.

Parks

and Rec is so good.

It's just a great atmosphere to win, man.

It's like being in the dugout at the office.

Anyway, enough about that.

So, Joe, here's my problem.

I mean, dude, that, that, it was just such a great show.

Is it, was it better than The Office?

No.

Okay.

Because it's the sort of American, like the US model for a lot of their dramas.

Like The Office, for example, like American Office.

Yeah, but even their

dramas and stuff, like...

I feel like

you'd be Michael Scott on The Office when he tried and he knocked over everything.

Everything.
