So, uh, you're down doing your thing this summer, but all of a sudden it's gonna be waterfowl season.

So tell me a little bit about how you got into waterfowl hunting, kind of who you are, where you're from, what you do, and, and let everybody know kind of your backstory.

So, uh, well, for starters, I mean, I grew up in Long Point, so there's really not much to do, um, between fishing and hunting.

So once October comes, I mean, we're one of the mass flyways for Ontario for diving ducks and some puddle ducks.

So with nothing else really to do, you get into, you know, duck hunting on the bay and everything else, and I was very fortunate to have a grandfather that was super into duck hunting, to the point where he built boats for duck hunting.

I mean, I've had boats since I was seven, eight years old, and I was always encouraged, you know, take one of the guns and go down out on the bay or whatever and go shoot birds.

Yeah, I mean, uh, a- and so like I said, the, the name Banks obviously is synonymous in the, in the b- boat world, the duck boat world.

And, and from what I understand, kind of started building these boats back in the '60s and into the '70s.

So, uh, let's touch a little bit on the history of your family in, in that business.

Now, I know it's since been sold, but let's talk about, uh, the Banks name in the boat world.

And one of his friends growing up, Dave Walmsley, um, was a former keeper of Long Point Company and wanted some skiffs.
