And also when they hit the shores of Lake Ontario and Lake Erie, they tend to pile up.

So places like, um, Point Pelee, Pelee Island, Long Point, Rondeau Park become, you know, um, havens for, for these birds, and people come from all over the world to, to bird watch and see those birds.

What is it like at the peak of the migration?

Oh, I've been down at Long Point some, some days.

That's where I, I do a bunch of my research.

And, um, you know, it's like walking through this jeweled forest-

So Rondo's an hour from Peely.

And then while we were at Rondo, a report came in of Scissortail Flycatcher at Long Point.

Yeah.

And we got in our car and drove two hours further east to Long Point.

And not only did we get the scissortail flycatcher after running up and down the beach like crazy people, we got a prairie warbler.

And then we had the three hour drive back to Pelee.
