NFC South Division Preview: Top Storylines, Betting Values & Luke Kuechly in the Hall of Fame | The GM Shuffle

I was gonna say, we can s- now smell that fresh cut grass.

You, you can see the sun-

Yeah

... and everything.

Like, all that comes with football practice and training camp is now here on our doorstep.

And the fun thing about this week in particular, we get football.

We get the Hall of Fame game-

Yeah

...

in Canton.

Cardinals and Panthers.

Yeah.

I know it...

this is not gonna be the starters.

We're not going full go here, ones versus ones, but it's still, after so many months, gonna be great to have football back on our screens.

It really is, and this is a scout's dream, Femi, is, is that you get a tape in that's gonna give you a lot of exposure to guys who have a f- at least a 50/50 chance of being on the waiver wire on the final cuts, and that's where you are trying to, to help your team at the end, and, and, uh, maybe even, uh, designate some practice squad guys.

But this is what preseason is about, to general managers, to scouts.

It's really about getting that preseason film in and looking at the second half, looking at the bottom of the, the roster players, guys you think that are gonna be available either to add to the roster via waiver claim or maybe signed to a practice squad, uh, at the, uh, final cuts.

So, um, these games are really important and interesting to the evaluators because you see the guys, um, you know, get playing time and, um, the more playing time they get, the better.

And if you're the Panthers going to the Hall of Fame game, it's a great opportunity to see your young players and, and get an idea of who's got a chance to make the roster.

100%.

And we'll, we'll get into the Hall of Fame Game and obviously the Hall of Fame class, which Marty is very close to.

Luke Kuechly going in, getting enshrined, uh, later on this week in, in Canton, Ohio.

We'll talk about that later in the program.

Also, our NFC South preview is today as well, so we'll talk about the defending champion Carolina Panthers, the New Orleans Saints, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
