If you look at how linebackers perform under Todd Bowles in this system in Tampa, they put up monster tackle numbers, and that's something, the volume that a linebacker can get impacts this Defensive Rookie of the Year.

And so you just operationally, you've got to be sharper than that.

And I think that's the disappointment was, is that they didn't take what they had done in practice.

And Todd Bowles is the first loss he suffered on opening day.

Usually his teams are well prepared.

As Todd Bowles was talking about what else Baker Mayfield turning over the ball and he had some things to say here.

And of course, you know, a defensive minded coach, you can never turn over the ball, you know, whatever he is offensive minded.

defensive minded coach you definitely don't want to turn over the ball but especially with a somewhat conservative coach who wants to depend on his defense and not put his defense in a situation where they have their backs against the wall and when you turn over the ball you put your defense's backs against the wall with the short field giving it to the opposing offense namely joe burrow and that cincinnati bengal offense he had this to say he know He knows he's got to take care of the football.

You cannot give the offense short fields.

You cannot give the opposing offenses second chance opportunities.

And Todd Bowles makes that clear.

And hopefully they're able to clean that up next Sunday versus the Cleveland Browns.
