Rasheed Walker

So that, and there was, I mean, I guess you could foresee that, a guy coming off of Patella, but to come back and just like pop that Patella right away, I don't think you could have foreseen that.

But part of the theory was Jordan Morgan was going to be an upgrade over Rasheed Walker.

And by any metric, he has been an upgrade over Rasheed Walker.

Rasheed Walker has been a disaster outside of week one against a pretty bad Bears pass rush.

Now that Bears pass rush just got better with Justin Simmons, of course.

They paid a steep price for Justin Simmons.

He did not fare much better last night.

And then Rasheed Walker, the former Packer, coming over in free agency tonight.

has just been a liability at left tackle this year.

There's just no other way to say it.

So if you're the Panthers, what can you do? At offensive line, Dave Canales hinted there will be some personnel changes coming up against the Denver Broncos.

I'm not sure what that's going to look like, but here is what I think could happen.

You see Rasheed Walker become the swing tackle.

He gets benched.

And he gets the edge, seals it, and your left tackle typically does not, like, whiff.

Well, not only did 63 Walker, who is entering Cam Irving territory right now.

Look.

We're at that point.

I agree.

But that's the issue right now is that you're on like your third string right guard and third string offensive lineman at multiple spots.

And then the right guard that you paid a lot of money to in year three is – he has been struggling and I mean that's just normal like when you have so much attrition on the offensive line there's just so many different issues like Rashid Walker was not expected to be a starter I know a lot of people were you know very excited about that signing because he came at a bargain But they currently lead the league in pressures allowed at the left tackle, the center, and the right guard.

And that doesn't even include the fact that you have a rookie's right tackle that's also struggling.

And

the bigger issue is that Rasheed Walker hasn't worked out.

Robert Hunt has regressed to the point where he's almost a liability, not to mention a penalty machine.

You didn't have Taylor Moten all year.

Going out and paying for Jalen Phillips and for Devin Lloyd.

Those two specific pieces on the defensive side of the ball.

Recognizing that you needed a left tackle and going out and getting Rasheed Walker.

I'll say that one of them has not worked out at all.

I think we knew that about Luke Fortner and his abilities and what he did with Travis Achan and with Trevor Lawrence down there in Jacksonville.

We knew that about Rasheed Walker in the run game and the abilities that Josh Jacobs got off last year in Green Bay.

So I think, again, it's just the pass protection is not where it needs to be.

Now, with that said, somebody mentions Brady Christensen.

They're down quite a few guys.

Rasheed Walker, the former Packer, did not have a great game.

People were joking on social media, is he playing for the Packers or the Panthers? They have a rookie, Monroe Freeling, in there.

Taylor Moten's injured.

But Morgan's good at left tackle, and Belton's been fine at right tackle, and they overcome the loss of Zach Tom and on and on and on.

Look, Rasheed Walker, Matt LaFleur couldn't wait to get rid of Rasheed Walker.

He's playing for Carolina now.

But, like, I think they're going to be – I don't think they're going to make a move.

And honestly, if Moten was healthy, he wouldn't be playing.

But Rasheed Walker is a guy that they picked up in free agency.

And I thought he was pretty good when he played with Green Bay the last three years.

It has been a bust of a signing.
