Kaden Elliss

What do you wanna do with Justin Jefferson, who might not be 100%, by the way, but for whatever you get of him? Because the Saints di- deepen a lot.

Their linebackers in particular, Kaden Elliss, Pete Werner, are pretty aggressive in how they react to run and play action and stuff.

Uh, and then when it's time to get back, they will deepen quite a bit, even on down and distances that don't require it.

And you might say, "Hey, wait, that sounds f- kind of familiar." Yeah, that's what the Vikings have been dealing with from Tampa and Miami.

I unfortunately participated in a game, [chuckles] home game against the Falcons where the linebacker level really showed that it was not ready for prime time.

There was no penetration from the front four, but the linebackers just were not ready to do things, especially with no Kaden Elliss.

The secondary played off coverage for the entire game.

I have no clue why Brandon Staley and that defensive, uh, staff believes that it's a good thing to do, especially when, yes, Drake London's a great receiver, but he's not a burner.

They were without a couple key players.

Kaden Elliss is a li- a versatile linebacker that they signed in free agency from the Falcons this year, who- who's been a big key to their defense.

We'll find out.

He's a key one to watch on the injury report this week if there's any chance he can come back, uh, 'cause they really missed him and his versatility, uh, both as a run defender and a, and a guy that rushes the passer in passing situations.

... who was a big part of their, their, uh, run defense plan, and Fernie Jennings and Carl Granderson both on the outside, both guys who are primarily run defending players for them.

Kaden Elliss, who's the linebacker that they signed from the Falcons to be the blitzing guy on these rundowns, right?

Yep.

But Brian Breese, he's out for the entire season, and not one of those players is like a, oh my gosh, stop the presses.

Falcons have some advantages in the injury department 'cause the Saints are banged up.

Old friend Kaden Elliss, who we loved, is not gonna play tonight.

Carl Granderson's not gonna play.

Travis, who was ETN, now HN, he's out.

Uh, right now, uh, I mean, a lot of key players, uh, not at practice today, including running back Travis Etienne Jr., who was placed on injured reserve.

We also saw two linebackers not participating in practice, Pete Werner and Kaden Elliss.

Kaden Elliss now dealing with a, a calf injury, and then you have two edge rushers also not participating, Anthony Jennings with a knee injury, as well as Carl Granderson, uh, with an ankle injury.

Both of those guys were, you know, dealing with injuries that we knew about.

They got hurt during, uh, the Las Vegas Raiders game.

Rook Orororo is in Jacksonville.

Kaden Elliss is in New Orleans.

Jalen Walker has suffered a season-ending injury.

Arnold Ebiketie's in Philadelphia.
