Dave Gettleman

[laughs] Yeah.

So Dave Gettleman came in.

It wasn't clear that he was bought all in to, to Bryce.

They turned to Andy Dalton.

We know that, and it's gonna be a hard decision," but they're smart enough to make that decision because th- they have to know.

This isn't like Dave Gettleman's Giants.

Like, they know the value of the running back position, but he's never had 10 touchdowns in a season.

He's gonna have 10 touchdowns in like five games.

Now, obviously on the other flip side of that, 37 points for the Carolina Panthers, that's winning football.

I'm sure Dave Gettleman is over the moon about how Bryce Young played.

He, he threw for 361, three touchdowns, and only one interception.

He ran another touchdown in on the ground.

Yeah.

Gettleman, and I mean, and failure.

Now, I don't love Joe Schoen.

I don't know a lot of Giants fans that do, but at least you f- Harb- this is his team

The end of an era, Darius Slayton was the longest tenured Giant player on the roster.

And with his departure, that leaves Andrew Thomas as the last man standing from the Dave Gettleman era.

But anyway, we're going to take a look at Why now? What's the fallout? What's the cap ramifications? What does this mean? Is this a good sign about Malik neighbors? We're going to answer all those questions for you right now.

And I got to say, this is the most excited I've been and probably most optimistic I've been since doing a Giants podcast.

Obviously, I was never a Gettleman guy.

I didn't like using the second pick on Barkley.

I was never a Daniel Jones believer.

And boy, I don't know.

He did want to play his whole career here.

He did want to play here his entire career.

And four or five months after he signed a five-year, $90 million contract towards the end of 2017 or beginning of 2017 or towards the end, I can't quite remember, Dave Gettleman traded him.

Maybe it was the 18th season that happened that he signed the contract and he was gone by 19. he didn't want to be traded, but if there was ever a definition of a player who talked his way off a team by his actions and things he said, and then the interview he did with Little Wayne, and I believe Justina Anderson, in which he was critical of Eli Manning, which is something you just didn't do in this market, because the fans loved him.
