NFC East Division Preview + Biggest Questions, Team Strengths & Weaknesses

We're gonna start with the NFC East, Marty.

A division last year won by the Philadelphia Eagles.

Uh, for the first time, we had back-to-back division winners in the NFC East in 20 years.

And what's crazy about that is that we have had multiple champions in this division.

We had three champions in that division during the 20 years [laughs] and did not get back-to-back, uh, champions until Philly did, um, you know, one in, in 2024 and in 2025.

Marty, the Eagles were 11 and six last season.

Uh, we know that, you know, at times it's up and down for Philly, right? They maybe not played to their, uh, full potential, uh, but other times they look incredible.

They made a change at offensive coordinator.

Sean, Sean Mannion takes over, first time calling plays.

Nick Sirianni's still the head coach.

Nick Fangio calling the plays on defense.

The roster continues to be one of the best in National Football League.

General Manager Howie Roseman continues to wield and deal to make this roster one of the strengths of the National Football League.

So Marty, let's start off with you here.

Um, biggest strength for the Philadelphia Eagles?

Yeah.

Uh, this is a, this is a really intriguing division to, to look at, Jeff, and I, I think if it's not the, the strongest division in the N- um, in the NFC, uh, because the West is awfully strong.

It, it-

Yeah

... it's certainly second, and it's the most competitive I think.

I think that, um, if, if you look at the Eagles, um, their biggest strength I think would have to be their pass rush.

And you know, this, this, this-

Yeah

... team is built starting with the offense and defensive lines, and I, I just think the defensive line is the strength.

I think you're right on that one, 'cause you think about the talent they have with Davis and Carter, right? They added Grunard in a trade as well.
