Peltoncast No. 500

All right, this week, we are also toasting to the 2001 Mariners.

Hello.

Oh, the 2001 Mariners.

entitled them to two statues, depending on how you count Edgars.

But I think we're counting it as part of the 95 contingent, along with Ken Griffey Jr. at this point.

And whose 116 win regular season, the team announced, will be commemorated.

Also, Ichiro's getting a statue, too.

So...

Yeah, that's going to be the two.

Oh, we're counting Edgar as part of the...

Okay.

95.

Maybe the Ichiro statue is for that 2004 season.

It is.

It is.

I looked at the stats and I can only objectively conclude that it would be for the 2004 season because why would you make a statue for any other season? As you

know, anytime the Mariners win a playoff series, it means two statues.

So get ready.

Jorge Polanco's statue is coming circa 2040.

Buckle up.

I hope we're here

to do that bold prediction.

Let's make sure we never forget.

the 2001 Mariners.

The 116-win regular season week commemorated with a statue that highlights their AL West clinching win in the wake of the 9-11 tragedy, which the team celebrated by parading an American flag around the field.
