Christian RauHOST
15:30
This is just saying, I think the trail is not as far away as we expected.
Christian RauHOST
15:35
I mean, even with Boise State, Boise State beat Washington this week in an exhibition.
Christian RauHOST
15:41
And I don't think Washington State's a world, excuse me, Washington's a world beat or anything, but Former Gonzaga players steal vendors over there, right? There's some players in Boise State who we don't have seeing as a contender in this conference.
Christian RauHOST
15:53
Just got to win in their first exhibition game against the Big Ten team.
Andy PattonHOST
15:56
Yeah, I mean, not only a win, Christian, they have 109 points.
Andy PattonHOST
16:05
Now, this game was a mess.
Andy PattonHOST
16:08
I mean, we were talking 100 combined free throw attempts for these two teams.
Andy PattonHOST
16:13
Washington was 28 of 46 from the line.
Greg PetersonHOST
4:50
125th for them in terms of total possessions per game.
Greg PetersonHOST
4:54
Washington is a team that was looking to push a little bit of tempo last year, 195th in terms of total possessions per game.
Greg PetersonHOST
5:00
In relation to many of the other teams in the conference, they were quite a bit faster.
Greg PetersonHOST
5:03
Northwestern is another team that likes to play nice, low and slow, 322nd last year in terms of total possessions per game.
Greg PetersonHOST
6:31
You see USC, they were 199th in the country in terms of points scored on a per possession basis.
Greg PetersonHOST
6:38
Oregon was just rough in so many different aspects, 221st in the country in terms of points scored on a per possession basis.
Greg PetersonHOST
6:45
For Washington, it just never really clicked for them, but even they were right around about 97th in the country in terms of points scored on a per possession basis.
Greg PetersonHOST
6:52
So far from like any sort of a catastrophe or anything like that.
Matt NorlanderHOST
23:52
Minnesota, I think will jump with Nico.
Matt NorlanderHOST
23:55
Washington, Northwestern, Rutgers, Penn State, they don't project there, but there's always a surprise every year.
Matt NorlanderHOST
24:00
Will the Big 10 be the best league? I happen to think it's the SEC this season.
Matt NorlanderHOST
24:05
Um, but I think it's got a really good chance of being number two, and I do think, I do think, like, teams Five to call it, like, 13 or 14 this year.

17 MINS LATER

Matt NorlanderHOST
41:34
Nick Boyd, he's gone.
Matt NorlanderHOST
41:36
They lost some key pieces there.
Matt NorlanderHOST
41:38
They bring in Trey Autry in the backcourt from Washington.
Matt NorlanderHOST
41:40
We'll see on that.
JohnHOST
5:47
We got Wisconsin at the 4 seed, taking on Hawaii as the 13 seed.
JohnHOST
5:52
We got Kansas and Washington in the 6-11 matchup.
JohnHOST
5:56
Gonzaga taking on Lipscomb in the 314.
JohnHOST
5:59
And then we got Eastern Washington as a 7, taking on Coastal Carolina as a 10.
JohnHOST
6:04
And in the 215 matchup, we got Michigan State and Gardner-Webb.
JohnHOST
6:11
What do you like about this bracket here, Brian?
Brian KutneyGUEST
6:14
So Washington was one of our last teams in.
Brian KutneyGUEST
6:18
Good, good team.
Greg PetersonHOST
4:45
We have to chat it up with him about what we're all seeing in these wild and crazy court cases.
Greg PetersonHOST
4:50
He is based out there in the state of Washington, so no doubt about there is a lot that is hanging on these court cases for the Gonzaga Bulldogs.
Greg PetersonHOST
4:57
We're gonna be taking a look at just what we're getting in general with these teams outside the state of Washington as well, what we have riding with the Big 12, with the SEC, with so many of these court cases, as well as we saw some big news On Friday with another one of these court cases going the way of the NCAA, the Kentucky's court case, which means Mark Mitchell, Seth Trimble, and a few others.
Greg PetersonHOST
5:19
These are guys that are currently ineligible to play.
Greg PetersonHOST
5:22
So we're going to be recapping that and so much more as there has been a lot to unpack here over the last few weeks.

Curtis RogersGUEST
23:36
I think so too, and I've always kind of felt like Seattle U is a program that could potentially rise up, and I really like that they made the move to the WCC.
Curtis RogersGUEST
23:47
I kind of thought that their time in the WAC Conference was not really helping them out the way that I think they wanted their program to progress.
Curtis RogersGUEST
23:55
And so I think moving up to the WCC, that is one where I think ultimately it's going to do them a lot of good because, uh, I think they wanna be, uh, mentioned in the same breath as a Washington, as a Washington State, as a Gonzaga, heck, even Eastern Washington, here in the state of Washington.
RodHOST
55:38
Um, to see who's in it.
RodHOST
55:40
But on paper, I mean, I know Oregon state and Washington state
EricHOST
55:45
are kind of like the mountain West.
EricHOST
55:46
It's like a little bit better than Mount West.
EricHOST
55:47
Cause you've got Oregon state and Washington state who are, you know, bigger programs than what you had like it.
EricHOST
55:52
Yeah.
RodHOST
55:55
But here's the thing.
RodHOST
56:06
So we definitely have, some mountain West.
Andy PattonHOST
13:10
It's not a surprise to see some varying kind of reports on these kids.
Andy PattonHOST
13:15
Maya's just wrapped up an official visit at Washington, saw that posted on his social media feeds, has offers from a ton of phenomenal schools, Arizona State's offered him.
Andy PattonHOST
13:26
Kansas has offered him.
Andy PattonHOST
13:27
Oregon, USC, UCLA, Tennessee, LSU, Cal have all made offers here.
Andy PattonHOST
13:32
Again, really high profile list of programs to already have offers from at this point.
Andy PattonHOST
13:37
Again, he took that visit to Washington.
Andy PattonHOST
13:39
So certainly looking at some schools already.
Andy PattonHOST
13:43
This summer on the EYBL summer circuit for AAU ball, he played for Northwest Rotary, averaged 16.5 points, about five rebounds, 3.3 assists, and over two steals per game.
John RothsteinHOST
4:06
Did Yeoman's work in the transfer portal made a big-time commitment financially? A lot of pieces to like.
John RothsteinHOST
4:12
True Washington, who was at Miami last year.
John RothsteinHOST
4:16
played for Richard Pitino on that team that beat Marquette at New Mexico in the NCAA tournament two years ago, comes over.
John RothsteinHOST
4:23
We will also see Michael Nowoko from LSU, Chance Westry from UAB, and Ruben Dominguez from Texas A&M all be big-time, big-time pieces for Xavier, who again is trying to get back to the NCAA tournament.
John RothsteinHOST
7:07
But a big opportunity for the Wildcats and an incredible opportunity for for Virginia to get a program of this ilk on its home floor.
John RothsteinHOST
7:14
Keep an eye on the lead guard matchup as well.
John RothsteinHOST
7:17
Chance Mallory of Virginia against Zoom Diallo, the transfer from Washington for Kentucky.
John RothsteinHOST
7:23
Number 18 on our list is a game in South Philadelphia.
Matthew WinickHOST
23:12
yeah penn state uh northwestern as well northwestern is really just a resources thing i think the haves and have-nots have been pretty clearly established and then also washington i want to mention briefly they had a lot of money the last two off seasons you know the first two years of danny sprinkle they got great osabor and and that team didn't really work out and last year they spent a lot of money on a team that made zero sense and they were not good it seems like washington's boosters do not have faith in danny sprinkle and co because they didn't get money this year their team they just lost one of their euro guys boris tisma who might have started at the five for them he's now going back to the spanish second division uh because he was worried he wouldn't get eligible so The roster is as bad as Penn State and Rutgers, in my opinion, and Danny Sprinkle hasn't done anything at this level to prove that he can out-coach his talent.
Matthew WinickHOST
24:03
It would not surprise me if they finished second, last, or last, and that would spell the end of this era for the Washington Huskies.
Brian RaufHOST
24:16
I think Ryan Beasley is pretty solid.
Brian RaufHOST
24:18
LeJuan Watts is who he is.
