So Ryan's question was really, "Do you think the Orioles should try Kobe Mayo in right field next season?" And Robert's question was a little different, "Do you see Kobe Mayo as an everyday player next year?" G-Man and Steve had similar questions, so I just wanted to combine this into one.

Now, Eric Longenhagen, the lead prospect analyst at FanGraphs, who I cite a lot and who has been there for a while, all the way since Mayo was drafted by the Orioles out of high school in 2020, had pegged Kobe Mayo as a right fielder long term, even though he was drafted as a third baseman.

Thought he was athletic enough to do it, had the arm strength to play the outfield, and I think was worried about like arm accuracy and his hands as an infielder.

And that has kind of played out in Mayo's defensive struggles at the big league so far.

What's the probability of that? Do you like the place the Toronto Blue Jays are sitting in in terms of the tiebreaker? And what are the Toronto Blue Jays' real chances to actually make the playoffs? Before you actually answer that I'll go over the playoff odds just really quickly.

Per FanGraphs, the Guardians are at 57%, the Blue Jays almost 33%, the Rangers at 29%, and the Baltimore Orioles actually lower than the Mariners on this list.

They're at 4.5.

is he? So, I mean, if folks are just trying to stream for wins and Ks, yeah, Fangraph's slow tonight.

How has he looked since he's been up? Yeah,

um he made one start recently and it was i did get seven

k's seven k's one walk and five innings at the marlin at the marlins um i don't know it's at least a pulse if you need if you need wins you need k's right everything's categories you're good in ratios i could see any two-step honestly um but tong with that most recent start at least gives you some hope

And actually, they've been one of the teams that's been least impacted by injury across the entirety of Major League Baseball.

This according to a FanGraphs study that was published in late August.

Using wins above replacement player so that they would take into account the relative value of the players who've been missing, the Pirates have actually been, sit down for this, the sixth healthiest team in all of baseball.

The healthiest team, if you're interested, has been the Cardinals.

He missed that, what, 15 or so games with an injury earlier in the year, but He's up to a 5.1 B-war after missing those few weeks.

And his best B-war – now, over at Fangraphs, he had a much higher war in 24.

But his best B-war of his career was 24 when he had 5.2. And that was 160 games.

Yeah.

As you can see here, the final home stretch of the season, then a road stretch.

Fangraphs currently has Arizona with the 22nd hardest remaining schedule.

The Rangers, Marlins, and Yankees all come to Chase Field before Arizona heads to Colorado and then San Diego for what could be a massive final series.

Arizona is just 1-5 against the Rangers and Marlins, their upcoming two teams.

Okay.

So, Fangraphs thinks it's Drone and Harrison.

Whatever you're looking at has a little something different.

But then they'll get an off day Monday.

Like even if they know deep down in their, in their hearts that it's coming towards the end and, Barring a miracle, they're going to be on the outside looking in.

I mean, I think ESPN and Fangraphs has them down to like two or three percent now to to make the postseason.

These guys know.

But at the same time, OK, they won Monday.

And again, like this is beyond expectations.

I mean, I think Fangraphs was predicting the Cardinals to lose 100 games.

I knew they weren't going to lose 100 games, but there's so many people here in St. Louis that were like, oh, well, this is doom and gloom.
