Best Ball Bonanza - Sharpen Your Strategy

Are you doing any other basketball other than underdog? Are you pretty much fully underdog at this point?

I decided to dive into DraftKings a lot more this year.

They really have taken a big step in their best ball game.

I still think that their user interface needs some work, but they've done a lot of work to it.

They've done a lot to help out their side of trying to capture the market, and they've come up with some really good contests.

Right now, they have some really good contests, and so I am going to be kind of diversifying a little bit more where i was playing a lot mainly on ud 90 now i'm kind of going to get it to more of a 60 40 probably i've played on sites like drafters um other sites uh but uh i haven't done any of the you know the fpc and stuff of that nature i've had people approach me and say hey why don't you come on over and And I don't know, I don't want to get too far out there with just how many already, you know, I'm drafting five, 600, 700 teams, you know, in a season.

So adding one more thing is just like, okay, how far out there do I really want to get, you know, and trying to keep up with all the draft strategies, all the different formats, all that same stuff.

I'm one that tends to try to stay in one lane or two and just kind of try to hammer those out.

Yep, definitely makes sense.

I do several different platforms, but I really try to major on just basically three platforms.

I do the underdog and FFPC and FFC for the most part, and little bits and pieces elsewhere, but those are the ones that I'm...

I'm mostly into.

So let's just kind of dive into draft strategy a little bit.

And I know you've done a ton of drafting already this year.

And one of the fun things about being in drafts is not only trying to build your own teams, but seeing what other people are doing on their teams.

And I'm curious, what are some common mistakes that you see happening in your drafts that people are doing?

I think

a couple of things that I

routinely see is over-allocating for certain positions.

Taking two early quarterbacks, taking two early tight ends, taking four running backs right off the gate, and then your wide receiver one is a guy that you're probably not going to be able to rely on very much weekly.

Stuff like that, take a lot, where guys are just like, it doesn't matter if they fall 20 spots past ADP, they're just not going to take them.

There has to become a point where a cost differentiates itself from being one that you don't want to one that you do want.

So things of that nature, and that's kind of the thing that the way that I've been playing the game now for the last four or five years is not so much risk averse, it's more exploitative.

Want to try to hammer out and get, I say that get your guys, but it's more of I wanna get my guys, but I'm also not gonna pass up on guys that I may not or that I might be a lot on that drop so far that's gonna make my team that much better.
