Another key to the game on how to contain Baker Mayfield is stopping the run.

And Jake, you remember when Mayfield was with the Cleveland Browns, Nick Chubb was the running back, and he had great games against the Bengals.

So with Chubb's running, that opened up... tremendous passing lanes, open passing lanes for Baker Mayfield against a very suspect Bengals defense in 2020 and even again in 2021.

So if you stop the run and make Mayfield throw the ball, let's say 35 to 40 times a game, Bucky Irving not listed on the injury report for Tampa Bay, he's going to be good to go.

But in reality, he wants to run the football.

And that's been shown throughout all the years in Cleveland when he had both Kareem Hunt and Nick Chubb available.

Do you think it's fair to look back at Stefanski's tenure in Cleveland in terms of what he wants to do offensively and think that it'll translate into Atlanta?

Selectively, yes.

I think the Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt years are instructive I think the later years, I mean, man, he was just trying to piece something together with that dysfunctional quarterback situation.

So I would lean in on some of that.

I think you can look at Jeff Ulbrich, the defensive coordinator, and what he did last year because he was the D.C. last year.

And that was a guy that they had counted on.

So it was it came down to what it was like a Nick Chubb that was on his.

He's retired now because that's how bad he was last year.

And then it turned into Woody Marks, who was a third round pick.

Darius Guys never even got a chance to play, I mean, off the field, whatever the case.

The other one was Nick Chubb, who was awesome.

So you got two awesome backs, but two out of seven is awful numbers for, for long-lasting play.

Another one that actually went in the first round of many rookie drafts, Royce Freeman, went to Denver.

he was better than Nick Chubb in college.

I don't think Camara really is going to, I think Camara is pretty much done.

You see this sometimes, right? Like Nick Chubb last year, like great fantasy guys just hit that running back wall and it's over.

I think we're kind of at that.

That's the Travis HN signing was apparent that the Saints felt that way.

He had a great offensive line.

Nick Chubb was in his prime, one of the better running backs in football.

And I just remember so many circumstances where they would throw and throw and throw to the point where like Browns fans would hold up shirts saying, run the ball, Kevin.

Like they were begging for him to run the ball more.

I won't.

I can't settle for a back who you respect a lot, right? And this is not a shot towards Nick Chubb, but the Texans leaning on Chubb last year was just irresponsible.

Let's be better.

And for the guys that are in the room, be better.

Yeah.

And again, I remember there was one year I had a heavy investment on Nick Chubb, like everything fantasy offensive player of the year, rushing yards.

And I still remember like Kareem Hunt is not a bad guy to rotate in.

And there was some other dude that they had, but like Nick Chubb would have 14 carries for 80 yards and then Kareem Hunt would have seven carries.

And it's like, why?

It should be like 22 to four.
