Underlying usage, Dagle, was not quite as strong.

We had Woody Marks playing a ton in this game and running a ton of routes.

It was just David Montgomery got the high-value touches.

So we didn't really move Dave Montgomery up too much in the ranks.

At this point though, like David Montgomery feels like a lock for nearly 20 touches 'cause they want to run the offense through him.

That's why they signed him, and now I doubt there was anything that they saw in week one after three touchdowns that wasn't like, "You know, we made the right move here." On the flip side though, Woody Marks had nearly as many snaps as David Montgomery did.

I don't think a lot of people really take notice of that given the fact that David Montgomery obviously had the huge fantasy day.

He'll get all the goal line work, but Woody Marks was on the field a lot, and I actually think because of that, and based on the matchup, you can flex him if you need to.

He's not, you know, he's not someone that I think you need to leave for dead.

I think he will get, you know, close to 10 touches per game, especially in a, a game script where I could see them needing to score points, a game script where, you know, they'll be in the game here and, and need some pass catching ability out of the backfield.

I, I don't think Woody Marks is the worst start this week.

Chase Brown, tough matchup.

[laughs] 20 carries, only 60 yards on those, but two rushing touchdowns, add the receiving touchdown in.

Woody Marks only had nine carries, so you're, you're talking less than half of what David Montgomery got.

So looks like he's gonna be the guy.

And, you know, I know this isn't a David Montgomery question, but C.J. Stroud looked a lot better to my eye than what we have seen in the past.

As far as their defense goes.

Um, but, you know, and, and this offensive line for the Texans is, is basically rebuilt, so it could take a minute for it to kind of figure out and gel a- and kind of figure out where they're at.

But this is what you wanted the out- Like, last year Woody Marks was a rookie.

He's just not somebody that you necessarily wanna be in here pounding it with.

He carried the rock 23 times, three touchdowns, one in the air and two on the ground.

His actual clip per carry wasn't, uh, out of this world, but that's obviously [laughs] a solid return, and Woody Marks doubling down on that.

So they, they picked up a lot of ground yardage against Buffalo.

And C.J. Stroud, despite the errors or the mishaps, uh, had a pretty good game.

That's nice.

Marshon Lloyd, Woody Marks.

It's a shallow roster.

Greg Dulcich or Brenton Strange, I really don't wanna flex a tight end.

So I would not be surprised to see them try to slow the game down.

Woody Marks, actually, even though he didn't get a ton of carries.

I think he had one of the highest explosive run rate.

Yeah, he was the fourth highest explosive run rate, 22.2% of his runs.

And it's not just about necessarily chasing those points from last week.

Yeah, look, I think I had a little bit of concern heading into week one to see how he was going to take maybe a possible timeshare there with Woody Marks at the Texans.

But what was really exciting was to see that when the Texans did move the ball downfield and get into the red zone, they just gave the ball to Montgomery.

So he ended up with only 60 rush yards, but three touchdowns.

There could be a little bit more opportunity there for Monty to open up the field and see a lot of work there towards the red zone for the Texans.

They did move the ball well against the Bills, so a bit excited to see how they go this week too.

Yeah, for me, the 49% snap share versus Woody Marks is 51.

Just a little bit concerning.

And then we go look.

Woody Marks played 40 snaps, and Dave Montgomery played 39.

This was a full-blown split backfield.

Now, obviously, the Houston Texans don't care about giving away 20 carries on 39 snaps.
