Welcome to the director's eye. We’re looking to expand the definition of the auteur theory in a podcast that will pick a different director every season. We use their full catalog to understand the arc of their career and discuss the impact this auteur had on world cinema.
Episode 8 we spend time with James Cameron's hobbies and the ocean-themed projects he engaged with between 1997 and 2005. This 8 year stretch saw the development of the Dark Angel TV show, Expedition: Bismarck, Ghosts of the Abyss, and Aliens of the Deep. This curious era sees Cameron at his most relaxed.
