Michael RomahnGuestI never would have thought of, uh, this essay slash book as being part of a healing journey, but that's terrific.

I, I read the book in January of 2025 and a year later I was, uh, about 200 pounds lighter
and, uh, living life with a completely different, uh,

mindset and uh wow it it it was part of opening up my heart and mind to a completely different way of viewing the world wow that's uh that's tremendous yeah you can cut that if you you know
I mean, I don't know how much of my stuff you've heard over the years, but I'm a big believer in mental health.
I've spent decades trying to convince friends and family that mental health is the most important thing.
It's the basis of living a good life is good mental health, and it just doesn't get talked about enough In society in the West in general, particularly with men, you know, I think there's still a bit of a... sort of an issue with men talking about mental health.
I know there's been a lot of work done here on that, trying to overcome that in the last 20 years or so.
But, you know, I... think we we let each other down by not talking about it more and one of the reasons i've been podcasting for 20 odd years is to try and talk about i try and sneak it into things all the time i was lucky to meet my guru when i was 19 or 20 that gave me a a framework for thinking about my mental health which i've lived with ever since and it's gotten me through life but um I never expected to, uh, be one of those tools.
