Narrative Numbers 21 Part I: Little Dough Boy from Hell

So here we are, narrative Numbers, chapter 21, [foreign language] this is the word of the Lord.

The Canaanite, king of Arad, which means freedom, dwelling in the Negev part, he did that Yisrael was coming on the path of the steps.

He battled Yisrael.

He took captives from them.

Yisrael dropped a vow like grain to Yahweh.

He said, "If you will gift this people into my hand, I will charam their cities." When Yahweh heeded the voice of Yisrael, he gave the Canaanite.

He charam them in their cities.

The name of the place was called Charama.

They pulled up their tent pegs from the looming mountain, the path the Sea of Reeds, to go around the land of Edom.

The soul of the people was cut short on the path.

The people spoke in Elohim and Moshe, "Why have you made us ascend out of Mitzrayim to die in the desert? There is no food.

There is no water.

Our soul is cut short by the cursed food." Yahweh sent out burning seraphim amongst the people.

People died, many from Yisrael.

The people came to Moshe.

They said, "We have erred, for we have spoken in Yahweh and in you.

Intercede to Yahweh, oh, that he might turn away the serpent from over us." Moshe interceded.

Yahweh said to Moshe, "Make for yourself a fiery winged seraph.

Set it upon a gleaming banner.

It will be that all who are stung look at it, he shall live." Moshe made a serpentine bronze seraph.

He placed it upon the gleaming banner.

It was that if the seraph had stung anyone and he gazed toward the bronze seraph, he lived.

This is the word of the Lord.
