The Psalms are the hymns and songs of ancient Israel, and still play a huge role in our worship today. Fr Mathew explores them with us.
You can't hear? Can hear? No? Okay.
The book of Psalms is something that we are familiar with simply because we hear a psalm read at every service.
Traditionally, anyway, we would hear it at every service.
And so it's something that we're familiar with and we recognize them.
But there's always a danger that because we're familiar with some of them, we may not always register what it's saying to us because very rarely do we actually preach on a psalm so we don't get to hear it.
However, psalms are very important because they're actually a source of comfort for a lot of people.
A lot of people rely on psalms as a source, as a means to pray, as we'll come to and discuss in a bit more detail.
