Thorin and YamatoCannon break down an LEC that looks like it is falling apart, the most fragile team in the league, and why a team everyone underrated keeps proving the doubters wrong. AG1: One…
Obviously, I- what's amazing is we talked about this exact topic for weeks and weeks now.
If you haven't noticed, one thing I've tried to change actually in my talk shows is as well as talking about that week and the things that just went before, if I see, like, an interesting storyline a little bit down the line, it's actually something Monty taught me to do.
I try to identify it.
'Cause obviously Monty with Riot was actually masterful at setting up years in advance, like maybe they'll merge with Brazil.
Maybe they'll do, like, you know, this, that, and the other.
And he tries to get ahead of that so that you can see the seeds being planted and then when they start to germinate, you see the, the plan unfolding.
So one thing, uh, uh, we've tried to do on this show is set up when there'll be bizarre things.
That almost happened.
It didn't in the end.
But one that we set up a few weeks ago, 'cause you could see this coming on the horizon, is people have to remember one of the weird things about the road shows and the home stands in LEC is they've really sort of fucked with the schedule.
Because since they have to schedule the good games for your home stand, 'cause you obviously you wanna play a top opponent.
No one wants to play, like, "Hey, it's my home stand.
I'm playing SK Heretics," and j- uh, no one wants that.
So because of that, it means that, like, you have this scenario where some teams have just played way more matches than others because people are waiting for their home stands, et cetera.
And so one of the weirdest things was that actually meant this split, that, uh, M koi were the fastest to play the most games.
They'd already played something crazy like seven or eight games when people like Fnatic were on, like, five or six.
And so what's really bizarre is because they did so poorly, it was actually really apparent after just a few weeks of LEC, like holy shit, if M koi keeps going at this rate, they actually, as pointed out in the skit, will miss their own home stand.
And I...
As I joked in the skit.
By the way, I don't actually blame at all the M koi over at Active Media people.
If you look at M koi and you were doing this, I, I assume this proposal came earlier this year or at the end of last year or something, or maybe even partway through this year.
