Cloud9 officially confirmed their roster for the 2027 season.

This was the same roster that we had previously.

Talked about previously, but it's gonna be cami insight lurks and pred so lurks comes from the Carolina Royal Ravens They negotiated that buyout Insight coming from the Toronto koi pred formerly of the Riyadh Falcons and cami I think the most recently from the Boston breach at least in the CDL, but he played in challengers last for most of last season and Now that it's official, how do you feel about this? What's kind of the ceiling you feel like for a team like this going into the next season?

I'm pretty sure he did at least unless I'm misremembering that.

Um, But, yeah, I think that's interesting that he's back and Major Maniac gets a shot as well.

And, I mean, this is just the way we – I have looked at this at least throughout the offseason and stuff is, like, this is just a super drastic change in pace from what we got from Cloud9 last season when they went giga budget.

Now they're going, like, all in on a full coaching staff and a seemingly – much more expensive roster on paper.

Because our teams directly go into quarterfinals without having to play a group stage at all.

So that was, and I seem to even remember, wasn't it something like there was like a coin flip on who actually made it into quarterfinals out of groups? Because it was Cloud9 that were...

And I don't think TSM were a bad team.

They were pretty good there.

They had a great regionals versus Cloud9 and stuff.

But the thing is, when you have extenuate circumstances like this, which of course...

There have been three of them.

along with this Cloud9 domination tournament that just took place over the last weekend.

Those four tournaments, there were HCS points that were up for grabs.

Now, traditionally, HCS points are used for seeding, right? So in these mass, like major tournaments that were happening over the past years, Teams would compete over the course of however many weeks or months, try to get HCS points.

The Invitational is completely separate.

But for the Open Infinite 4v4 at HaloFest, teams have been competing for HCS points over these past four events.

These three Global Cups all online and this Cloud9 tournament that just happened over the last weekend.

Because there are so limited amount of tickets available for Open bracket, I mean for the Open tournament, Players will be reached out to based on their, the amount of points they have when the team passes become available.

There were some rumors around this, and now it's confirmed by the players.

C9 have released Sven and APA.

The big seven-man roster that never once saw a sixth or seventh man play.

And now the two members that were riding the bench are off the team and not on the org anymore.

Another rumor I'm hearing is this is all speculation.

This one is like far, far, far from being confirmed.

But with Masu's contract being up at FlyQuest, a lot of people are like, well, if tactical didn't work out and they're not keeping Sven, then who would C9 grab? They already have imports in mid and top lane, so probably Masu.

There's a chance that C9 makes a push for Masu.

i also think i mean they have multiple dz skins in the game and to my understanding if they rebrand they lose those skins in the game so business move makes a lot of sense as well

Yeah, because the Astralis ones disappeared when they got, or the Disrupt ones got disappeared when they got bought up by Cloud9 or East Coast or Astralis or whatever fucking org bought them.

so i think the obvious place to start this one gentlemen is we've obviously done the plane now here's the thing i don't want to make this all about cloud nine at the plane because spoiler you can just watch power spike for that that's basically what happened on that show that was what i was all about so we will do a little bit about that but let's just do the plane in general so actually kira since obviously you are the guest who was on the other episodes I want to know this.

Coming in, did you have the classic EU bias? Did you just expect KC to be the one that was the winner of the play? And did you think it would be closer with Cloud9? What were your thoughts in that regard? I mean, look, technically it was close, but yeah.

Yeah, so I just thought I was really surprised how close it was with...

the problem is this actually was just a trend with cloud nine that's like that's why i'm saying it even continue from the lcs through to here and so unfortunately that in the end that kind of was the identity of who the team was now there are look there are some extenuating circumstances obviously two players joined this roster in the summer technically the head coach was before the strategic coach you might wasn't even on the team back then he was just like some figure now he's on the team as the strategy so there are some changes but even so to me unless you were going to run the exact same roster next year i don't think there's that much you can take from this particular experience to me because actually the same problems did put themselves i mean even one part that didn't age well was when you guys did beat lion in the upper bracket i remember saying actually it's going to be one of the more sort of restrained series i've ever seen from tactical he got up to his old tricks immediately after that and he had his own classic dive in loco leap-esque moments which is actually by the way funny if why he built the original reputation that tactical had which is also why the other thing that was kind of cringe as well as the whole dom from last year people forget dobby used to also flip the shower tactical that was another example like apa of a player he's getting where it's like bro the dom the core streamer will definitely not be all about this player but you know he coaches him so he has to be a different coach so i do think unfortunately even though like i say i do think it was close i think it was close in a bunch of these series actually the funny thing was if anything let's shift and talk about the furious series i actually think that was the less interesting series because here's the one thing i found weird I believe you actually said this on PowerSpec.

Didn't you basically admit, Yamato, because it seems like it's true as an outsider.

It does look like, bizarrely, even though I don't think Fury is better than Cloud9 or has better players, because they have repeatedly beaten the core of this team, essentially, in a way, the team themselves have sort of like, they know they're their kryptonite.

Would that be accurate to say, Yamato?
