The casters used to chew the fat about Commander between games or whatever.

They're just like, oh yeah, I was playing my Magic Commander deck.

I mean, he's a guy who's been a staple of, like, coaches in north america for the longest time at this point i mean he's had successful runs pretty much it felt like most places he went so just seeing seeing him just be like you know what it's time for me to step back take my time do my thing and it's like good for him honestly it's it's a very stressful thing i mean they work long hours just based on the idea of trying to uh get your team ready to go because that especially in like a head coaching position and i mean he was in c9 last so the infrastructure was there but it just felt like towards the end it was a little bit rough for him between like his disguise time his immortals time and then all the time that he had on c9 there was yeah rough patches yeah

And unfortunately, he was kind of at the forefront of a lot of the C9 curse that's been going on, where they missed out on Worlds many years in a row.

He's been the head coach for two years at C9.

It was basically like January 2025, so LTA... era was an arrow and then this past year has been an arrow until this split where he stepped down and Dom took over as head coach before that Immortals disguised I actually forget he was the coach of disguised for a bit Golden Guardians before that Echo Fox was like one of the first actually was the first LCS one he did some like O's and some some challenger teams before that but It's going to be sad to see him go.

Brazil brings the fire when it comes to stuff like that.

I mean, we've seen Brant in the past write bot gap when he killed, like, NA bot lanes or EU bot lanes in Worlds play-ins in the past, so...

I'm here for it.

But yeah, I'm trying to think in terms of...

It just struck me that I can remember a few years ago, we'd always talk about how the prize pool for the international, the prize pool for the League of Legends Worlds or whatever was... was more or the equivalent of some mega sports prizes and the viewership figures were particularly high.

And I just, you know, just checking back into the day and they seem to have dropped both on both of those metrics seem to be lower now than they were then.

And I don't know if that's a reflection of them becoming less popular or because the money is distributed differently or, or it just, I just find it interesting that, I was expecting it to have popped more by now, if you know what I

more about it is people argued for years, for years, that because LEC and LCS was not playing best ofs, that that's why we were worse at Worlds.

Yet the Korean teams in best of ones were always the best performers in best of ones.

because it's the nature of best of ones.
