Most people think they're one pay rise away from financial freedom. Graeme Holm says they're wrong. Graeme Holm is a mortgage broker, financial educator and founder of Infinity Group, where he's…
Graeme HolmGuestSimonHostSoniaHostYeah.
And we're seeing, you know, creators in Bali now, you know, smashing Australia, smashing our government and basically saying, get over here.
It's a hell of a lot easier to live.
No.
Do you
I guess it's getting to the point though that you're right.
Do you really want to live in Bali? But maybe that's the option that people have to take because it's getting so tough here.

i'm pretty proud and passionate about our country i think it's one of the safest places on earth yeah we have bad going on but we are multicultural we are diverse you know i grew up sport was my savior as a government housing kid and i've got multiple adopted mums and dads of diverse ethnic backgrounds because i played soccer at a high level and that wasn't typically the aussie kids sport you know they all played footy i played soccer And, you know, I'm talking about backbreaking, hardworking migrants that were concreters and bricklayers and worked in the steelworks.

And it's funny, I'm talking to them still now and they're saying to me, you know, and they're much more mature now in their retirement, they're saying, we hate to see where this country's going because we... went without this we went with that we did all of this to set up our kids that are my age in their 40s and now their kids have been starting to plan and strategize and the government's ripping out from under them all of the foundational strategies and the rules that they've been working towards i mean how do you how do you play soccer if there's no goals on the field yeah and that's what it feels like right now so i totally appreciate where these people are coming from and saying hey i'm going to you know, Dubai, I'm going to Bali or, you know, even New Zealand now saying, hey, come over the ditch guys, we'll look after you around tax and this and that.

So, you know, you're seeing all these countries around the world going, hey, come over here and it'll be better.

I think we're at risk of losing some of our most talented entrepreneurs and people that could actually help influence policy and decision makers.

It's highly likely that people start packing their bags and jumping on a plane.

it's almost like there's a bit of a global agenda that we haven't all realized we've had mass issues with with politics mass migration with taxes with properties with all sorts of stuff and it all seems to be hitting everyone almost simultaneously whereas there's a few countries that are gone that ain't happening here
I've got a theory on this, and I think that is that information now is moving at the speed of the internet, right? So we're all receiving a lot of information really quickly, and it's really hard for the governments to be able to keep up in their old slow structures.

So we get all these predictions on the housing market and we get this guru and that guru and you think, where's this coming from? And it's usually not data backed.

It's like this particular bank has an agenda for this and their economist says that.

This particular organization has an agenda for this and their economist says that.

And it's like, Who do you believe anymore? Like you say that the information is moving at the speed of light, the speed of the internet, and it's depending on your beliefs and algorithm and what it hears you talking about and what you subscribe to your entire belief system, DNA, subconscious competence and psychological belief system now is built off what you really say on social media, like traditional media, I call it lamestream media.
Yeah.
