12:26
wow well what would you say be like if you had the shamanic uh initiation what would be the similarities and differences with a near-death experience because you've had both
Alexandra SteinerGUEST
12:45
um the similarities of a shamanic um it is the near-death experience um that i had i would say was a bit more universal uh the shamanic traditions especially in central america are you know it all deals with the other world with the invisible worlds but I think every culture has their own structures of the other worlds like how many layers of realities are there are there good and bad entities so these are intrinsic to the respective culture The Mayas, I've just recently found out a friend of mine lives in Bali and is married to a Shama priestess from the old Balinese tradition and they are animistic.
Alexandra SteinerGUEST
14:00
The very old traditions are everything is conscious and there is the visible world and the invisible world and they have to be kept in balance there is no good or bad there is good and there is bad but it's not that the demon wants to just kill you it is about respecting these polarities and the same is true for the mayas I found there's the underworld, there's the world we live in, there's the world of the benign gods and goddesses and it all has to be kept in balance.
Alexandra SteinerGUEST
14:52
One thing that I found very interesting translating the Popol Vuh, I don't know if you know this, this is one of the one papers or codices as they call it that was not burned And it is about the genesis of the Mayan people.

Heather SchmidGUEST
19:01
And it's, It's so amazing that we are just now returning to what the indigenous always knew, what the native of whatever culture and place felt into that the gong, the frequency of the gong and the frequency of the bell would raise the vibration and then yes, these negative energies couldn't exist in that space.
