Before we dive into a little bit of high level and what you do at high level and your role through there, you've been there for seven, coming up for seven years now, almost seven years.

How has being a teacher translated into leadership in a family now of three boys? Because I can only imagine how interesting that must be on a day-to-day basis, right?

And so I went and taught high school English in Philadelphia and not for very long, but I was lucky to have an amazing mentor and she had been a teacher for, I don't know, 40 years in the system or something.

And I don't know if it was her, somewhere along the line, I picked up this shtick of one, you have to become like a character, right? And that character can do things that you aren't comfortable yourself doing or may not come natural to you.

So it's like, hey, Ricky, for choosing to chuck that pencil across the room, which violates rule number one, that's up on the wall there.

you have chosen to get detention and so i just have been able to create this like persona that's when i'm in that mode you're not getting mad at dad you're getting mad at the character that dad is playing when he's enforcing the rules the way it feels but it works very well at least for me because i'm able to snap into that mode and do what i need to do and then 10 minutes later, I can still be in a loving relationship.

You know what I mean? It's more of, I hate that guy that he snaps into that reminds me that it was me that actually chose that bad decision.

So taking that from my teaching days has been very beneficial with raising kids.

It's more these are the choices we've made and the things we need to do to stay aligned in our family home harmony.

You remind me of something that I got told by a mentor ages ago about running a business and having a team and staff, that it's always about the business.

So when you explain things to them, say the business needs this, the business is actually a living, breathing entity.
