Rock Chalk Sports 10-16-26

All right, we're gonna hear from Camp Pickett here in the opening segment, but first, let's break down this Kansas football offense.

Tomorrow is the Dillon's Sunflower Showdown.

Of course, this is the 124th edition of the Dillon's Sunflower Showdown.

And, uh, speaking of the Sunflower Showdown, KU volleyball took care of business last night in Manhattan.

Yeah

... sweeping-

Big time

... sweeping the Cats out of Manhattan, so, uh, perhaps that's, that's a good sign.

Football team hopefully can, can, uh, do the same thing.

But yeah, Dillon's Sunflower Showdown, 11:00 AM.

Coverage will start at 9:30 with the Crimson and Blue Show across the Jayhawk Radio Network.

As I said, both teams are 0 and 2 in Big 12 play.

I may have misspoke on this earlier today, earlier in the week.

KU 2 and 3, Utah is 3 and 2.

Hawks need to get back to .500, and most importantly, they need to end this ugly 17-game losing streak to K-State.

This is a year that I think Kansas out-mans K-State.

I said that earlier this week, and, uh, I still believe that.

Now, K-State still has really good players on both sides.

Of course, they're led by Avery Johnson, their quarterback, on the offensive side.

And then defensively, which is what we're gonna focus, the KU offense against the K-State defense, Wendell Gregory has eight-and-a-half TFLs this season, two-and-a-half sacks.

Very good season for him.

Also noteworthy as we talk K-State and KU, the Cats are first in the conference in fewest penalties per game.

We know that's an issue that Kansas has had this season in terms of getting flagged themselves.

So we will see how it goes.

We'll focus on the defense right now, and I'm just gonna say this again, we're not forgetting about special teams.
