I don't have super high expectations for these guys coming in to be, like, change-the-franchise type of players.

Jordan Smith at Arkansas, you can poke holes in.

Last year, I felt like there was maybe eight freshmen that were driving winning for awesome teams, right? You think of like Kingston Flemings at Houston, Keaton Wagler at Illinois, Cam Boozer at Duke, Darren Peterson at Kansas, Caleb Wilson at UNC, AJ DeBonse at BYU, like you go down the list.

This year, I kind of wonder if that's like one or two, but I'm curious if that changes, right? And it's a situation where someone surprised us yet again, just like they did last year.

You know, people always tell me, well, listen, you got to pick between KU and Missouri.

I root for both of their football programs.

I'm more of a KU basketball fan, the Missouri basketball fan.

But I do root for Missouri football and KU football because I'm not from here.

I live three houses from the state line.

And by the way, I took official visits to both schools.

But you coached at KU, so you're kind of right.

I mean, I probably know they won't, but I know that Duke and Carolina aren't coming to Raleigh.

Kansas was here last year, right? Most of their interesting games they play this year are not in Raleigh.

And the conference games they do play here are like Cal and fucking Stanford.

Yeah.

But when you actually go over to the resume, and you start looking at some of the teams you've played, I mean, you, you accepted a tournament invite and had the pleasure of playing teams like Kansas in the early season tournament, uh, and Purdue.

Like, those, those are tough games that Creighton probably loses in a good year.

You also played Louisville, Arizona State, who was very good last season, Fairleigh Dickinson, who won the double on the Mac, Iowa, who's a, a pretty strong up-and-coming middle-class P6 team.

Mm-hmm.

There's, there's no reason to play a Louisville.

There's no reason to play a Kansas.

Were you first of all, the only reason I know of Bucknell is because they famously upset.

And I've heard all along that Arkansas and Kansas, Kansas-Arkansas, the top two for him if he were to reclass.

Now, everybody would be involved.

I did notice that the schools that came out to see him so far, at least that were reported, Arkansas was on that list and Kansas was not based on what I saw.

So that is interesting.

Speaking of reclassifications, Evan Willis was another 2028 that Cal has been out to see in person.
