Quite sad for a player who had some high and low lights last year and then mostly low lights to start.

Busted coverage against the Bills was especially bad and we'll come on to that.

But he got re-signed for a reason and this leaves our safety room in disarray.

But Ash, Evante was someone that we kind of low-key wanted and needed back in this offseason.

He came in last year and kind of stabilised that safety room a bit with the branch and Kirby injuries.

Seemingly, all reports in training camp were good for him that while he was rotating with Harper and Clark, he was still looking good.

it just all fell apart and yeah the injury is the cherry on top of his cake now and unfortunately he's in that point of his career where he's on one-year deals and that so he might now just be a camp body that sometimes people teams then have on the practice squad and bring up much like what we've just done with uh someone but as we'll get into in a second but It's disappointing because we had high hopes for him that he'd be at least a good stabilising force back there.

And then when the big two come back, he could fall back into his backup role, maybe play some slot corner, third safety looks.

Well, coming on to kind of replacements for him, we knew that Evante was in trouble because of what Dan Campbell said about him and not feeling good about the injury.

We then found out earlier today that we've worked out several players, including Jordan Fuller, Mike Edwards.

We have interest in the Nickelback, Kenny Moore, as well as someone we've signed to the practice squad in, Jalen Mills, who was with this team from December last season, didn't get re-signed.
