Detroit's offensive line had a rough night, but that was to be expected.

The Lions were down left guard Christian Mahogany and right tackle Blake Miller.

ruled out with injuries on Wednesday and were already without starting center Cade Mays.

It was a factor, of course.

He has not really practiced at all this week, and I don't think he's going to play or start at left guard.

But it does sound like Christian Mahogany will be back for Detroit.

But most importantly, it sounds like.

Blake Miller will be back.

I don't think long-term, but it doesn't look good for this week.

So you hear that right now, long term, Ben Bartsch, maybe not so much, but Mahogany as well as Blake Miller ready to go this week.

Blake Miller had an interesting comment to say about this particular offensive line unit.

And that comment was he believes that this old line is a phenomenal unit.

And whether you love them or hate them, mahogany has been one of the consistent things through this line for the last... two games in season.

I know he hasn't been out there this year, but in terms of coming into the season, training camp, all those things, those are the guys working together.

They want Mahogany as their starting left guard.

Now, it'd be great to have Cade Mays out there, but what you saw last week against the Buffalo Bills, it's two of your scheduled starters that's it now you get an opportunity to add in blake as well as mahogany alongside your all-world panay sewell as well as your you know very exciting second year guy in tate but those four together bring back a lot of cohesive ability to communicate and understand who's on each side of each other so That in itself is really going to help.

You better hope you don't see him walking out of here.

Uh, after listening to Dan Campbell's press conference, uh, earlier on Friday, it felt pretty certain that both would be out.

Uh, but the positive here, as positive as you can be with an injury report where you have two starters ruled out, is that one starter is coming back for sure, uh, to replace one, and that's Christian Mahogany.

He is not on the injury report at all.

That's very good news.

So I don't want to hear injury excuses for the Lions.

By the way, as far as the offensive line goes, while we're talking injuries here, Christian Mahogany and Blake Miller, both, according to Dan Campbell, are back and looks like they're going to play Sunday.

Miller, of course, missed the Thursday game against the Bills, the knee injury, and he said if it would have been a Sunday game and not a Thursday game, he would have played.

And then Christian Mahogany said that hip injury suffered in the Saints game, but it sounds like both those guys are fine.

Ben Bartsch, foot injury, who's kind of been rotating with Mahogany, sounds like he's going to be out this week.

Tate Ratledge has an elbow injury, but he's been practicing most of the week, and it appears like he's fine.
