He was drafted by the Lions, did not make it through camp, got picked up by the Buccaneers for seven seasons, had the last two with the Lions.
Had, you know, considering where he was drafted and what he's achieved, a pretty exceptional career.
Like, he's gone out with a Super Bowl ring, which is, unfortunately, a lot more than you can say about other players, obviously.
And, yeah, for him to stick around after being inherited as a seven-round pick out at EMU, like...
And now he gets to retire with his millions and he's super bothering and a joy time with his family, as he said in his Instagram post announcing it.
I'm sure that if we have like a sort of there's always an informal invitation out for him to come and attend camp, come and attend games and show his face because, yeah, he deserves it.
He deserves, as I say, probably more of a stalwart with the books in terms of longevity and actual achievements.
But what he did in terms of the last couple of years stabilising that defensive tackle position, helping Casey Rogers bring in the book scheme and kind of be a mentor with some of the younger players, fair play to the guy.
He's done a real service, I think, in the way that he handled himself and that he came back here and he was a tone setter in some ways.
And after nine years, hopefully he's set up for life now and he can enjoy it with his family and get on with the next chapter.
