X, you out here cheating? Because we don't believe in monogamy here on the Locked on Poppins podcast, we're going to let it slide, but we're going to pay attention to it.

Again, we were all focused on Jesse Bates, and he's cheating too much, but this man is our non-monogamous king.

X, Is there a non-monogamous prince? And, you know, the prince still has to learn from the true ruler and whatnot.

But our last two points are not about the defense.

He was awesome.

But he was a piece of the pie, and that pie was really darn good, and Jesse Bates wasn't great until the playoffs, but then it all came together.

And that's a big thing when I look at this is if all the ingredients come together and make this awesome pie, well, it doesn't mean that you need the standout star.

They have one in Dexter Lawrence, but it's not like those numbers stood out.

He's from here, all of those things.

But the thing I love most His attitude, his mindset, how he's setting our culture.

They've brought in veteran safeties before, multiple, since Jesse Bates and Von Bell.

That has not worked.

They're just being really, really kind.

No, we actually met Jesse here.

He's awesome.

That's awesome.

Their secondary was so scary that Mike Tomlin actually declared the entire middle of the field verboten.

They were so afraid of Jesse Bates.

Look at, look at Aaron's passing chart.

That was Bates, by the way.

But there was nothing in the middle of the field.

Jesse Bates was a no-fly zone for Justin Fields in that game against the Falcons.

It was awful.

All sidelines.

I thought A.J. had his moments as well.

We know who Jesse Bates is.

We've seen those guys play well.

Sidney Brown was all over the field.

He is clearly on the Milton Williams trajectory of not going to be here because they had to give Jordan Davis $27 million.

But he also made the game-saving play on a shovel pass to – Jesse Bates? Is that who that was? That's not Jesse Bates.

Jason Bates? Yeah, maybe Jason.

Something? I don't know.

Jesse Bates is a safety.

He looked like a typical early 2000s tight end.

And they said, yeah, feed me that guy on the goal

I, I actually think it'll improve.

And he's facing a guy next week in Patrick Mahomes who he has had a lot of success against, with kind of a similar talent level, you know, what he's got now as he did in Cincinnati, minus Trey Hendrickson of course, um, and Jesse Bates, you know, for a few years.

But, uh, yeah, I mean, L- Lou's, regardless of if it's a bad matchup and a historically bad matchup for him, Lou has to fix something, because, uh, that was embarrassing.

That was absolutely embarrassing.
