And I think a lot of it, I think all of it will come down to how quickly Jared Goff can process Everything that's going on because Dan Campbell has repeatedly told us we put a lot on his plate.

I asked him how much time and what does the process look like between him and Cade Mays to make sure that everyone is on the same page, giving the Lions as many advantages as possible going into this game.

This is the best opportunity at this point for Jared Goff to stake a claim at being in the MVP conversation.

I mean, maybe even the MVP front runner, depending on how it goes.

You feel like they're better equipped to handle Brian Flores this time around.

Oh, yeah.

And some of it may simply come down to not what Cade Mays and Jared Goff are talking about and discussing or Mahogany and Ratledge because they've got some experience.

Penny Sewell, obviously a ton of experience.

As I look back on all the things that Dan Campbell has done right and wrong over these last two seasons or so, that was something I never really quite understood.

But this year, in this first game, We're going to see how it goes because they just brought back Cade Mays, who was on the shelf for the entire, you know, the first five games of the season.

And he comes back in week six.

And I think you saw a lot of good things, a lot of encouraging things.

And there were a couple of times where, you know, there's a free runner coming.

Jameer Gibbs has like a pick your poison.

Which guy am I going to pick up? And Cade Mays just kind of sitting there in a stance.

not blocking anybody.

Now, could you say Green Bay got lucky by Jameer Gibbs fumbling inside the 10-yard line in the last minute of the first half, right? And it wasn't even his fault.

Cade Mays is trying to throw a block and push the pile, and he ends up punching it out.

Did Green Bay get lucky by a center quarterback exchange coming out of the half? You look at those two plays, and all of a sudden you're thinking, hey, even if we get...

I thought there was a couple checks where you're like, you just can't run that play, man.

Big, heavy gap runs up the middle.

And if the Detroit Lions, who absolutely have that club in their bag and an offensive line that got Cade Mays back healthy, that seems to have had the right young pieces gelling with that group, if you can go and run through a lot of those all-up blitz looks, to your point again, there's plenty of daylight after that.

And so that's the fun side of the football with the fun chess match and offense.
