So the recent news is that the Trump administration is suspending Microsoft from a green card program alleging fraud.
Can you imagine that? So recently, Vice President Vance came out, and, uh, we'll take a look at what he had to say here.
But in the article, it says that Vance, uh, said that the program from which Microsoft is being suspended requires companies to advertise jobs in America before applying to the Department of Labor to show they need to, to give a foreign worker a green card because of a lack of American workers.
Yeah, the whole idea of, like, foreign workers, visas for foreign workers is there's literally no one in America that can do this job.
In some cases, some of these visas do require that, right? You know, uh, as JD Vance said, you know, they'll put an announcement in a small town newspaper.
They'll go out there and say, "We've advertised for a position with our company.
No one's responding to it." Um, but Microsoft, again, one of the most egregious offenders of this, of the H-1B stuff, of other visa abuses.
So I think most people tapped into the online right already understand how this works.
There's a dearth of talent in America," what they're really saying is that, you know, American workers expect to be paid honest wages.
But the thing is, especially when they, when they bring in foreign workers, it could be from India, it could be from anywhere really, it's not about hating on any individual group, but you know, they bring people who come from impoverished parts of the country.
From poor countries, and these people come over here, and just being in America is, you know, huge upgrade in terms of their quality of life, even if they're working not as, not as slaves.
I mean, look, I, I don't like some of this rhetoric that makes it sound like these, oh, these poor H-1B workers or other foreign visa workers are being exploited by, you know, Western corporates.
These people are getting a much better deal than they would've in their homeland.
But the thing is, yeah, if you're over here on one of these visas, you will work for less.
