That departure is one day earlier than planned.

It staves off a vote to impeach the Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth that was brought by a fellow Republican.

Thomas Massie made the unprecedented and surprise move yesterday to force that vote over how the secretary has handled the Iran war.

He had wanted to catch leadership off-guard so they would be forced to call a vote, but by skipping town a day early, that legislative clock on that vote has now been paused.

I know it was.

Here's why.

It's, it's actually bad politics to leave this impeachment hanging over Pete Hegseth's head for eight weeks.

And if, if there was any other reason that they canceled tomorrow's day of session, they could have had the Hegseth vote tonight.

But I see no reason why this guy's name can't be on there.

We talked yesterday about Thomas Massie from Kentucky walking out on the House floor and deciding to offer up articles of impeachment on Secretary of War Pete Hegseth.

He walked out there and said the dumbest things, and I posted this over on X because it doesn't make any sense.

Thomas Massie, if he has a problem with the way the war is being prosecuted in Iran, if he has a problem with how the drug boats are being blown up out in the Pacific or the Caribbean, I think there have been some in the Pacific and some in the Caribbean.

Well, here's the update on that.

Massie kept Hegseth impeachment move a secret from GOP leaders, according to Neil Rothschild, who's on Axios, so it could be fake news.

And I have to subscribe to read it, but, uh, Thomas Massie, Republican from Kentucky, did not clue in Republican leaders on his plans to introduce an impeachment resolution against Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth over the Iran war, Axios' Cave- Kate Santales, I guess, reported.

There you go.

... because that's just gonna be depressing, and we don't need that.

Uh, we can talk, start talking about, like, the Pete Hegseth stuff, which is pretty interesting.

Okay, so, uh, Ethan, Ethan hinted at this earlier, uh, or on the main show, when he was talking about Mitch McConnell and, you know, how he worked one day and then was gone.

It's in the House.

It's not the Oversight Committee.

House Republicans, some of them, have submitted articles of impeachment against Pete Hegseth.

Pete Hegseth is the current Secretary of Defense.

House Speaker Mike Johnson said he's canceling legislative business starting tomorrow, sending lawmakers to the campaign trail early ahead of the midterm elections.

The cancellation comes a day after Kentucky Republican Congressman Thomas Massey introduced articles of impeachment against Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

Speaker Johnson says that the House has done the hard work.

It's time for our members to go home to their districts and make their case to the American people to go and explain all the great things we've done.

So so Congress has been canceled basically over the Hegseth impeachment attempt that Thomas Massey launched.

And he believes it's also related to the them trying to get more Epstein files released and So House Speaker Mike Johnson announced that he has canceled a planned House session for Thursday, sending lawmakers for an early seven-week recess and pushing back a vote to impeach U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth until the midterm elections.

So that's how long the recess is.

They're not coming back until after the midterms.

So that's happening.

We're going to get into a little bit regarding the Massey-Hegseth stuff.

This is kind of what all the conservatives are talking about.

Thomas Massey, congressman who has been... ousted in the last election for him.

He's sort of a dead congressman in the sense that he is going to be leaving Congress soon.

His issued impeachments, which I believe Mike Johnson, last I saw, is not even going to be voting on, but he was pushing for the impeachment of Hegseth, Pete Hegseth, our Zionist head of What was the DOD? Now it is the Department of War.

And so the head of the Department of War, Secretary of War, as he goes by, potentially going to be outed.

Not likely.

Lawmakers in the U.S. House say they'll leave Washington tonight for the last time before the November midterm elections.

This after Republican leaders in the House said they were canceling votes set for Thursday, meaning the House will not vote on Kentucky Republican Thomas Massey's resolution to impeach the Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth.

The House will take no action on anything until after Election Day.
