Yay! Magdalena Lopez was a nice person, a good friend.
Her friend Rita had booked a vacation.
Problem, Rita had a cat.
Would Magdalena mind cat sitting for eight days or so? Because she was Rita's friend and she liked the cat and she said, okay, I'll help.
And everything went just fine for a few days, and then the cat, Tigger, started getting violently ill. Hairballs, sick, just every cat mess that could be made.
Magdalena's roommate noticed that Tigger was not doing well and took him off to the vet.
The vet said this kitty needs surgery, has an obstruction.
And Magdalena said, well, I don't know what to tell you.
It's not my cat, but I guess okay.
The vet found that the playful kitty had swallowed a hair tie and had a little kitty bowel obstruction.
Magdalena then got the bill from the vet.
$7,000.
Yes, $7,000.
When Rita got home, she was glad Tigger was okay, but not that glad.
The $7,000 cat, wow.
The veterinarian had produced a hair tie, and that hair tie belonged to Magdalena's roommate.
So Rita, the cat owner, was a little irritated and wondered if she could try to recover the cost of the vet treatment from Magdalena and or her roommate.
Yes, Denise Dirks, she wanted to know if she had a case or no case.
And we don't have to guess the name of Magdalena or the cat or anything, right? No, there's no celebrity
