Daily Puck Drop | Should the Seahawks be favored and can the Cougs and Huskies get their act together!!??

Hey, Chris, any truth to the rumor that they don't want to build another high school out in Soqualmie because they want to keep Mountside huge so that they can be really good in sports?

I'll tell you this.

They were very – I don't know if it's because of sports.

Did you just make that up or – I didn't make that up.

The geniuses of the mountainside school district.

I still remember being out there when...

they were getting a school going, they were literally building extra rooms and stuff that they weren't even going to use knowing that there was going to be growth coming in the years to come.

So they would be prepared for that growth and wouldn't have to build portables.

So I actually give them a lot of credit for thinking ahead.

We see portables all over the state at some of these high schools and Mount Si is like, no, we're going to just build in preparation for that growth.

So I think that's also one reason, honestly, Jim, why They don't need to build because they were prepped for it.

Hey,

have you followed? Your kids would have went to Hazen, right, Jim, if you had not moved? Yeah, they

would have

gone to Hazen if we hadn't moved.

By the way, as you get

going on this, I have a niece that goes to Hazen High School.

Okay, you've got to follow up on this story.

So, Jim, I don't know if you've seen this, and I'm glad the Renton reporter is still around.

Did Greg Johns, formerly who covered the Mariners, start his career at the Renton reporter? I believe his sister was.

He was at the

Journal American in Bellevue.

Okay,

well, the Renton reporter.

His sister, Patty Murray's brother, right? Greg Johns.
