Zach Charbonnet

The big takeaway here for me was the Jadarian Price split with George Holani.

The thought was with Jadarian Price that at least to start the season he could have a really nice role for the Seahawks, kind of expecting Zach Charbonnet to come back at some point still, and he's gonna have a, a, a good role for the Seahawks.

He, he's gonna be part of this committee in the backfield because they just did it with Kenneth Walker last year.

There's no reason to believe that they wouldn't do it again this year with Jadarian Price.

So this looks like a lot of empty calorie touches for Jadarian Price.

If that continues throughout the season, that's gonna be really rough for him.

I can't imagine it gets better once Zach Charbonnet comes back.

It's possible just 'cause it's week one that he, they weren't willing to put on too much on his plate, and it could get a little bit better, but I'm still worried about what happens when Zach Charbonnet comes back and Zach Charbonnet is getting a lot of those really important touches during the fantasy playoffs when it matters the most.

I, I guess when I started telling you guys how good Kenneth Walker was, it was because I was frustrated they kept giving the ball to Charbonnet.

He becomes a Super Bowl and playoff hero.

He goes to the Chiefs, and it's like, can Andy Reid and them make it work? Yeah.

Then DeMarcus Lawrence had another 22-yard fumble return on another strip sack by Tyrese Knight.

And then Zach Charbonnet scored on a six-yard score.

It was 35 to nothing with eight minutes to go in the second quarter.

35 to nothing with eight minutes and 33 seconds to go in the second quarter.

For, uh, the Cardinals, um, [clears throat] Bam Knight and Amari Dimarcato were the running backs [laughs] back in week 10.

Um, this year, you're gonna still get a little bit of Bam Knight, but you're talking about Tyler Allgeier and Jeremiah Love, right? So very, very different backfield for the Cardinals than what was there last year.

Similarly, for the Seahawks, you had Ken Walker and Zach Charbonnet.

Those guys will not play in this game.

So I think the ceiling is definitely very high for a rookie to be.

And like the commentator Joe Buck and Troy Aikman said during the game, Zach Charbonnet was kind of that... committee running back with Kenneth Walker in Seattle until the playoffs when Charbonnet got hurt, and then Kenneth Walker takes over and goes on his dominant run and wins Super Bowl MVP.

But Kenneth Walker, he doesn't need that guy necessarily, but I think it's important to have a guy to take some of the pressure off of Kenneth Walker in the running back room, and Emmitt Johnson looks like he can be that and more for the Chiefs.

Yeah, as we currently stand, Kenneth Walker would be on pace for 391 carries off the year, which would be a top 10 most carries in a season in NFL history.

I'm going to Glendale this weekend.

And I'll tell you, I was there two years ago for the big Zach Charbonnet game.

Remember that? He ran for like 126 yards and two touchdowns.

That was a game that, man, what a difference a couple years make.

No more overtime 6-6 ties, please.

Two years ago, I was there for the win with Zach Charbonnet, ran wild over him.

So anyway, thanks, you guys.

Like, what do we, what do we do? How do we, we can't talk shit.

Like, and then two years ago, the big Zach Charbonnet game where he ran rough shot over them.

And, and there was something I saw that day, uh, that first of all, their stadium is not like Lumen in any way, shape or form in the sense that the sound doesn't filter down to the field.

Even when they try to crank it up, it kind of dissipates.

But we just saw Kenneth Walker, a player who was talented enough to put up almost 200 yards on the Denver Broncos.

That man was in a 50-50 split with no receiving upside, no goal line usage in favor of Zach Charbonnet.

And who's going to be coming back probably in the second half of the season? Zach Charbonnet.

The fact that Jadarian Price is already in this gross split with George Helani and Emmanuel Wilson, I don't think it bodes well for when Zach Charbonnet is back here.

I hope I'm wrong.

I think from a talent perspective, it's extremely clear that Jadarian Price is the best running back in this room.

But I thought it was clear last year that that was Kenneth Walker and the Seahawks disagreed.

And honestly, just to pile on with this, you saw that Kenneth Walker, what was it, fourth and one, like the carry he takes for like a 60-yard touchdown.

Phenomenal in the second half.

He's the first UCLA running back with multiple touchdowns in back-to-back games since Zach Charbonnet did so back in 2022.

And like Zach, Wayne, he had six touchdowns in a two-game span.

So Wayne Knight, just the acceleration.

The Seattle Seahawks GM needs to be released after letting Kenneth Walker just walk free and get signed by the Chiefs.

How's this man still got a job? K-9 isn't Super Bowl MVP last year, if not for the load sharing that he had with Charbonnet last year.

And I frankly think the Chiefs are just going to run him into the ground.

And that's just not good for winning
