Is AI really inevitable, or is it just a tech bro's wet dream gone awry? I think the headlines recently answer that question, but allow us to yap your ears off about what we think. Newsflash: we hate…
But before we do that, we're going to, um, we're gonna talk about some tea, some, some bookish, bookish tea that, uh, honestly, like, it's kind of, it's kind of going to be difficult to touch base on, like, individual things.
Suffice it to say, over the last, like, month or so, there has been so much AI tea that has come out.
Um, we're pretty much, I feel like, everything now, as soon as somebody has, like, a gripe about something, they immediately just go to, like, "Oh, it's AI.
It's AI.
It's gotta be AI," and it, it's, it's like, it's getting exhausting.
Yeah.
Um, first of all, authors were using em dashes before.
[laughs] Yeah.
Uh, and also it's, like, the Oxford commas.
Like, let's not even-
[laughs]
... go there.
Like, it's a, it's a lot of things, guys, and you have to remember, and I wanna preface this before we start talking about anything tonight, uh, for this episode, um, or, or today if you're listening to this during the daytime.
Um, end of story, AI has been trained on actual authors' work-
Stolen work, but yep
... which is the reason-
[laughs]
Yes, stolen work.
It is, it is trained off authors' stolen work, and therefore that is why it writes the way it does with the em dashes, the Oxford commas, the ellip-
Mm
...
the ellipsis and all those stuff.
Like-
Mm-hmm
... guys, just 'cause you think it's AI does not mean it is AI, but also it becomes this fun thing.
