On this episode, Matt Noonan returns for his fifth time and we talk a lot of music.. Last month, we saw Lynyrd Skynyrd and Foreigner in concert at the Morton Amphitheater. We discussed the new venue…
So Matt and I are back, and, um, we went to, the main part of this episode is we went to see Lynyrd Skynyrd, a concert a couple weeks ago.
Went and saw them at the Morton Amphitheater in Rivers- is it Riverside, Kansas City? Is that where it's at?
It's for any local in the Kansas City area, it's tucked in right as like 635 goes across, um...
And, and, and, um, a beau- we talked about the v- the venue for here, but it's a beautiful venue.
And i- it kind of, I mean, out there, kind of in the middle of, I won't say in the middle of nowhere, but it's in the middle of nothing else, which is kind of nice because you need a big amphitheater with lots of parking and stuff like that.
And Matt, what was just kind of your initial thoughts, uh, when we walked, we parked and walked up to the venue? 'Cause I know it's also not too far from where you live, I mean, a little bit.
So I've been seeing it getting built for a while now, and was wondering what the experience there would be like.
So all the lanes basically were, you know, inflow lanes when we were coming in, and then all of them were outflow lanes when we were leaving, and that part was really nice.
I'd say that was definitely worth it, 'cause you're coming from pretty far away if you're parking in a free spot.
Um, and then went from there inside, and it felt like a mix of like a, almost like a Chicken and Pickle, minus pickleball.
