Noted - Episode 141: Camp Blues

Yeah, I've only gotten to watch like the highlights, you know, of the preseason games.

I haven't been able to actually watch the games themselves.

So I am interested.

Tomorrow night in the third preseason game, I do want to watch that game because I think there's some interesting things going on, some real competition going on.

But honestly, I think the competition is really interesting.

All the different line combinations and sort of the changes.

There's a lot of movement, particularly at the bottom of the lineup.

The third line, the fourth line, lots of competition there.

Lots of players that are making a case for themselves.

It's interesting.

Very interesting.

Yeah, and I think we kind of knew coming into this camp that those bottom six roles were a little bit unpredictable, right? I mean, the top six, top three, that's locked.

That's locked and cocked.

There's nothing that needs to be messed with there.

Second line, you kind of figure it's going to be Mason McTavish, McMichael, and someone else.

Maybe Pavel Buchnevich, maybe neighbors.

But then the third line and fourth line gets a little bit murkier.

I would even say the fourth line is a little bit more settled than the third line.

So there's a ton up in the air, David, and I'm just so curious.

Like reading some of the news, seeing some of the highlights, who has kind of been sticking out in your mind that maybe you didn't see coming into camp as a potential contender to make the lineup?

Well, I don't think anyone had Dylan Peterson as someone that they even thought about as a possibility of making the team.

I'm not sure I knew who that was coming into camp.

I did.

I did know.

I followed my Blues prospects closely, and he's one of those guys who's been in the system a long time.
